Mark Davis had some conversations last off-season with former MSG exec Scott O'Neil, who ended up as 76ers CEO.
I've never heard Ray Anderson attached to stadium ideas. Doesn't mean he can't be and doesn't mean he's not a Raiders candidate.
Last time I asked Mark Davis about hiring a president, sounded like that hire could be related to the stadium search...
And if Allen's probably the best bet for 2014, might as well keep GM who hired him... but McKenzie/Allen better have a sharp plan for QB.
My main thought: What coach could the Raiders hire who's guaranteed to be better than Dennis Allen? Don't say Gruden--he's not coming back.
Wiggle room: Mark Davis says they're shifting from "de-construction to re-construction." Are the same leaders best for 2 different phases?
Hilton Armstrong will wear No. 57 for the Warriors. He'll be the first Warrior ever to sport the number.
O'Neal, Andre Iguodala (hamstring), Festus Ezeli (knee) and Ognjen Kuzmic (hand) all missed the Warriors' shootaround for tonight's game.
Draymond Green (ankle) has been upgraded to probable, and Jernaine O'Neal (wrist) is still questionable for tonight.
use a purposeful story to turn a "no" team into a "go" team
Plus, they've only played 4 of their 30 scheduled Eastern Conference games. I'd say GSWs are at a realistic 50/51/52-win pace right now.
Plotting out the Warriors' record by their current home (.750) and road (.429) winning percentages... they're on pace for 48 wins.
If and when Harbaugh wins a Super Bowl, he'll be the Saban of the NFL--possibility that no price will be too high.
Remember, Harbaugh turned down Miami's $7M-per possibility and took $5M with 49ers. Why? Better shot at winning SB. But if/when he does...
Generally, everything I've heard is that Harbaugh wants to win a Super Bowl w/49ers first and foremost. After that... anything is possible.
There were suggestions USC had some interest in Harbaugh... Now Texas chatter... Yes, it's extension-talk time! Or it will be soon.
Dal su realni ovi Viktorijini Andjeli??
Dewayne Dedmon is back with the Santa Cruz Warriors and will be in uniform tonight.
He was happy as hells
Bout to walk up in this surprise like that bad lil boy who said "well hello mutha..."
I'm neutral on the Kaepernick-media thing--his right, there are effects. But people are still very angry at me. This is ideal, really.
Warriors were 22-10 last year in late December. Well behind that pace this year but should make push with plenty of home games coming.
You can't have a better tomorrow if you are thinking about yesterday all the time. - Charles Kettering
I guess Kaepernick fans are outraged this topic has come up again. I'm NOT ripping him. But go run and tell him that I am. Fine by me.
Though few will believe me, again, I really like Curry's game. It's lack of objectivity from fans/media about his game I don't like.
My rule is this -- there should be a reason a guy takes 30-plus shots per game -- like he's making most of them.
Do advance stats/true shooting percentage factor in what happens to teammates' play when they're not getting ball as much?
& lots of you want it both ways -- demanding/indignant that Curry is PG but also just fine with 32-shot night & just 14 makes.
Hey, kids, TS% is nice little stat. But stop rationalizing 14-for-32 and 5-for-16. If that ain't volume, then volume don't exist.
Bottom line: Curry had Monta Ellis-like line last night -- volume shooter/poor defense/loss. Ellis would have heard about it; Curry doesn't.
Here we go with blowback -- Curry not only struggled with Walker, when he doesn't guard him it can compromise entire defense.
Again, it's Kaepernick's choice. I don't judge him one way or the other as a QB on on it. He doesn't want to be a voice, he isn't one.
Big-time QBs make dealing with the media easier for the rest of the players in locker room. Kaepernick makes it way, way harder. His choice.
But sometimes--in the best times--a QB is a public team leader who can represent the locker room. Kaepernick wants zero part of that.
Obviously fans, coaches, execs and teammates want wins, and don't care if the media likes a QB. Or vice-versa. But...
Unfair to rip D.Lee for his defense, and not bring up Curry. K.Walker had 31 last night, including last 15 of game.
Even my music teacher from elementary school was there lol
Bertie was in the house tonight! Btw! #252
Push thru -Talib, Kendrick and Spitta
Got to change my signature ASAP! My wrist is burning...
Ppl were really passing out, having panic attacks and seizures at his concerts. Unbelievable
Tough. Better on Wednesday
Tough loss but it was great to see family and friends. Been too long since I've been back. Always have love for NC
Yes, Warriors miss Iguodala, but something else seems amiss with GSW. Little flaws are beginning to add up.
Warriors are in survival mode. Injuries. No bench. Lots of road games. Just gotta keep tier heads above water. Losing to CHA doesn't help
Draymond Green was hurt ... Why he didn't finish game
X-rays negative on draymond green ankle. Just a sprain.
Draymond Green has a sprained left ankle and is getting x-rays right now.
A bad loss by Warriors. But THEY loss that. I'm more concerned about inability to beat good teams than stinkers against bad ones
Ws fans so finicky. Was sky falling last game? Same team. GSW has issues, but missing best defender/second creator is their biggest issue
Draymond Green checked out, Curry was at the line. His free throws tied game at 88. Bobcats responded with 22-6 run
GSW 4-4 over a stretch of eight games in eight cities. Would be going for 5-3 if not for Westbrook
Geez ... Put Draymond Green back in the game
Warriors go away from high P&R with Curry and the result is three straight TOs -- all trying to get Klay a shot
You can tell Curry realized no one on Bobcats can stop him from getting to basket
Draymond Green now on Gerald Henderson. Took long enough
Ha! Steph got manhandled on that last basket
Klay Thompson just picked up his third personal foul and then a technical for slapping the stanchion.
Gerald Henderson is balling on Harrison Barnes
