Vogel is throwing the rotation to the wind, and putting in some of the house favorites
CHRIS COPELAND SIGHTING!
As down as I've been on team's play lately, did not see this coming. Really thought they would respond. Baffling. Frustrating. Maddening.
George Hill is still alive and in the building… 17 points
Before the game, Vogel said he sticks w/ normal rotations on back-to-backs. Tonight would be the night to break that tradition
Rasual Butler checking in
I thought PG was out of it when he didn't bother to argue his last offensive foul. Now I'm convinced - twice not paying attn on West passes
Notice Ian Mahinmi shaking his left arm after posting Jefferson and getting fouled? These nicks and bruises add up @ this point in the yr
Feels like it’s time for Vogel, another player to do something to ‘change the game.’ Pacers down by 18.
I wonder if Al Jefferson holds center summits in the summer time. He can teach all these big men a thing or two about iso post work
Paul George finally gets his first points of the game at the foul line with 6:41 left in the 3rd. 0-for-9 from the field.
Quinn noticed a hitch in Lance's stride a few minutes ago, and it does appear he's still not running well.
Ok! NOW CDR has 12x more points than Paul George. There.
Since getting to within three points, the Bobcats have outscored them 14-2 going back to the first half. 55-40 Charlotte.
Paul George hasn't played this badly since last year's oh-fer at Golden State.
Chris Douglas-Roberts has 12x more points than Paul George. Let that simmer in your cranium for a little bit.
I mean, it went in, but a 15-foot turnaround hook shot? No bueno, Roy Hibbert
That's twice McRoberts has grabbed GHill's left arm. Time for somebody to lead with a foot on a drive.
8 point 1Q, 30 point 2Q, 9 point deficit at half. No idea what to expect from here.
Pacers rebound from 8-pt 1Q by outscoring the Bobcats by 11 in the 2Q. They’re down 47-38 at the half. Stephenson has 10pts. PG scoreless.
Turner seems to put effort into defense but doesn't know where to be or the fundamentals.
Scola and Turner providing something worth watching (other than the Hardee's commercials).
George Hill remains in the game, as the Pacers keep chipping away at their deficit. 31-25 Charlotte.
Watson already doubtful with sprained elbow, so Sloan only healthy point guard. If Hill can't return, get ready for a lot of Turner.
George Hill being attended to by trainers, holding his already bruised left shoulder that kept him out two games.
Hill on the court, still holding his arm. Man, that shoulder that given him trouble since 2011. He's already missed 2 gms recently bc/ of it
Hill down again, holding left shoulder again.
George Hill on the ground, left shoulder again
An 11-1 start to the second quarter has the Pacers back to within 10. Turnovers have been a problem. Eight already.
Allowing ridiculous displays like that from Lance without repercussion has contributed to this malaise.
Lance Stephenson, Paul George and Frank Vogel all threw up their arms as if to say "what travel?" but nevertheless, it's a turnover
But this is stretching the boundaries.
You say the Pacers started badly. I say they have learned the intracies of the Theorem.
Evan Turner makes a basket (I hear sarcastic applause all the way from Indy) then Stephenson draws a foul. Some positive mo happening
David West, last night: “…we’ve got to have a level of combativeness and competitiveness that elevates where we’ve been."
That was a quick hook for Donald Sloan
Man, I really, really hope we aren't looking at 2002-03 all over again.
"… and the worst from the Pacers." Fan, you are absolutely correct. You don't know how right you are.
Overheard during game's first beer run… Fan to usher: "That was the best 1st quarter I've seen out of the Bobcats all year...
Pacers with their worst quarter of the season, scoring just 8 points (on 4-of-20 shooting). Bobcats lead, 28-8.
…and the shots just keep on bricking.
David West, frustrated, checks out here within the final minute. Takes warmups from ball boy and throws them to the ground.
Al Jefferson 12, Pacers 6. Indiana off to a brutal start, down 17 with 2:54 left in the 1st quarter.
Al Jefferson does not respect your interior defense, Mahinmi
Regular backup point guard C.J. Watson has a sprained right elbow. Sloan replaces George HIll
Don’t like the body language and energy of the Pacers. Vogel has already burned two timeouts, as they’ve gotten down 19-6.
Donald Sloan, warmup off, about to check in
Nice block, quick outlet, and George Hill trots upcourt rather than trying to make something happen in transition.
CJ Watson has a sprained right elbow, suffered Sunday vs. Utah, so it’s doubtful that he plays. Donald Sloan the first Pacer off the bench.
Pacers have had some good looks, but have missed their first five attempts; Charlotte up 5-0.
Playing the role of back tapper will be Roy Hibbert
From the empty seats, it would appear Charlotte is less than electrified by the Bobcats' playoff pursuit.
Kid did a good job …innocent eyes and cherubic voice, he's going to be a star one day. Just stay away from Bieber.
So the kid who plays "Young Stevie Wonder," "Young Michael Jackson" and "Young Berry Gordy" in Motown the Musical performed the nat'l anthem
Watson ordered some chicken fingers and fries. Not exactly the pre game meal a health conscious guy like CJ eats an hour before tipoff.
Tale tell sign for Watson being out: After warmups, he & athletic trainer Carl Eaton powwow'd with Vogel to discuss his limitations. Then...
I really would like to give up Twitter for Lent, but don't think the bosses would go for it. Thus, I plow ahead. Thanks for the follow.
Name some of the worst rappers.....GO
Doc Rivers' kid has some interesting facial hair action going on right now. It's like an inverted stubble fade
Lance Stephenson said the ‘Sir Lance A Lent’ shoes that he wore tonight were designed & meant for the All-Star game… http://t.co/YyolMbYw7l
Odd stat of the night: Paul George posted his 8th double-double tonight (26pts, 12rebs). His last five have all been in Pacers losses.
Tough one tonight, gotta bounce back tomorrow night in Charlotte!
"…and he hit it. Sometimes you play good D but better offense."
G. Hill: "You try not to give up nothing to the basket. Maybe a jump shot over you and a fadeaway jump shot falling back is a tough shot…"
