Included Kobe quote on Jeter in last column: "Most touching moment for me was watching him walk off the field and walk through the tunnel."
I'm fine with champagne celebrations after every win but can we agree there's no such thing as Wild Card Champions?
That game sums up how the A's played for the last 3 months. What a great night for the Royals and KC. Angels/Royals start Thursday
So happy for the Royals. So sad for Adam Dunn
Great baseball game!
It sure doesn't hurt the Angels that both these teams are blowing through their bullpens and game 1 in Anaheim is Thursday
Universal Studios Minion Mayhem tonight for LA's Promise Gala. So much fun!! http://t.co/6Un1B8dRIL
What a great 2 nights to be a sports fan in Kansas City. Chiefs whack the Patriots, & the Royals might comeback to save their season
Baseball is wonderful
This game is starting to remind me of the end of Major League. And I think Willie Mays Hayes just came in
Why isn't he stealing???
Someone check on Beane
I love how the news doesn't talk about ebola when it has hit our shores. Just great!!! Smh

Blake Griffin: "The majority of our guys went to their rooms about like 10 o’clock last night, as soon as we got back from dinner."

Lighter moment at Lakers practice: Can Byron see Kobe as a future coach? "Nah. He's too tough." Said Kobe would be more demanding than Riley
Doc Rivers did say players were issued Surfaces instead of iPads this season. "Steve swears they're better, so we'll see," Rivers said.
Doc Rivers said Steve Ballmer could care less about eliminating Apple products, but "all our new stuff will absolutely be Microsoft stuff."
A people hire A people. B people hire C people.
Steve Ballmer has other things going on besides Clippers; he's teaching a class at Stanford this quarter.
Doc Rivers: "We had dinner last night as a team and Steve came in and he passed out all the Surface computers. No, I’m joking."
Steve Ballmer had dinner with the Clippers in Las Vegas on Monday night but has departed and is not expected back.

Steve Nash called this probably his last training camp.
Kobe on his teammates: "Most of the guys, I don’t know personally. It takes some time to get to know them a little bit."
"... otherwise nobody’s going to give a sh*t."
" "He understands in order to be Swaggy P and for people to pay attention to Swaggy P he’s got to put that work in on the court..." (cont.)
Kobe was asked about Nick Young and how his theatrics jive with the work Kobe likes to see. Good answer to follow...
Nash on Byron Scott: "He’s a guy that has everybody’s respect."
Kobe: "He understands for people to pay attention to Swaggy P he's got to put some work in on the court unless no one's going to give a s-."
Every "Nash looks good" tweet is met w/some skepticism, which is understandable even to him. Doesn't mean we won't report what's happening.
At the end of Day 1, Kobe said, "I've never run this much in an NBA practice."
Hard to think of two players in the NBA, or perhaps sports, that take their personal fitness more seriously than Kobe and Nash.
So much easier for coach/trainer to give vets time off (like two a days) when they come into camp in fantastic shape like Kobe/Nash.
Chris Douglas-Roberts bumped heads with a teammate and sat out a few minutes but he's ok.
Kobe: "I don't know how else to say this: I'm ready to go. Now it's about getting better."
Hearing Steve Nash looked as good in today's first practice as we'd been hearing he has looked for the past several weeks.
Huh. Check out the disparity in media demands on Carlos Boozer and Julius Randle. http://t.co/6AxKBiexTM
Mentioned yesterday Ronnie Proce has fans in Boozer and Nash. Add Kobe. “When he was in Utah he have us a lot of problems.”
Third-stringers at Clippers practice: Cunningham, Ingles, Udoh, Wilcox and Hedo. Not sure what's going on with CDR.

Kobe on first practice: “I felt normal.”
Nash says theme of first day was defense and conditioning.
"Lakers on three." http://t.co/SoQ4Ho61Z3
Byron Scott just stopped 10 Lakers while they were running. Didn't like how they did them, made them start over. Included Young, Sacre + Lin
Kobe and Nash are watching their teammates go through drills. http://t.co/8QKuocFopA
Guys who impressed in Lakers' first practice before media members were allowed in to watch: Jeremy Lin, Steve Nash, Ryan Kelly.
Neither Nash nor Kobe taking part in intense post-practice conditioning with the team. Understandable.
Xavier Henry was held out with back spasms.
Kobe Bryant practiced for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Steve Nash practiced for 90 minutes. Everyone practiced except for Xavier Henry.
Xavier Henry, who is still coming back from right knee surgery, say out with back spasms.
Kobe practiced for first 2 he’s 15 mins, while Steve Nash practiced for 90.
