Jordan Hill turned into a productive NBA player, but that draft still haunts Knicks. So close to Curry, left a lot of talent on the board.
Crazy to see the Bulls get bullied like this on the boards. So different than all those MIA-CHI matchups. CLE has big bodies
Kirk Hinrich dressing up as Michael Jordan for Halloween.
Who really needs Derrick Rose anyway?
Some early season Cavs struggles are understandable, but not sure LeBron and Kyrie dribbling right into turnovers are among them.
I mean...this is the first week of the NBA.
Clearly diff players, but Snell's development kinda reminds me of Butler's while Deng was hurt. Unplayable in 1st yr, but steps up in 2nd yr
Feel like Cleveland is gonna be really poor at defending the 3-point line this year. Their perimeter D needs so much work.
No rim protection is going to be a major issue for Cavs.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I appreciate it! Anyone dressing up tonight?
My favorite person in the world as my favorite flower
Coming soon: My 10,000-word oral history of the Humongotron.
Should Kings stumble early & often, I predict MMalone will b 1st coaching casualty. There was summer talk owner thought about replacing him
Little known fact about well known people: Derek Fisher did not become an everyday starting guard until he was 33...
I like Aldrich. He's immense. Gives hard fouls. Takes up space & engulfs misses. Plus, he's legit threat f 3. He'd be my starting center.
If Acy, Aldrich & Jason Smith beat up and beat on The downsized version of LeBron, what should we expect from Noah, Hinrich & Taj the Mahal?
NYK just went thru this w/ Touré Murry in July. Inexplicably didn't make him qualifying offer, then wanted to sign him later. Made no sense.
My personal opinion on NYK/Larkin: Pick up his option. Not a lot of $$$ saved if you pass on him. Plus, could move him if you really had to.
Also interesting about last night: Fisher kept Melo on the bench w/ 4 fouls until the 6:34 mark of 4Q. Melo then scored 9pts (66.7%).
For those scoring at home, Andrew Wiggins has more wins this season than LeBron, Kevin Love & Kyrie Irving combined.
It's mad awkward when someone tells you resemble someone that you really don't resemble. Like, do you thank them? Backhand them? I dont know
To the woman sitting next to me who asked if anyone's ever told me I look like Kenan Thompson: http://t.co/x30qT0TNnj
Last tweet an example of ignorance of Triangle. Watch the set-up, too. Best player isolated from movement/spacing. No double in sight.
David Stern told me he estimates it'd cost billion dollars 4 Seattle 2 get an expansion franchise, on account of buying into new 24B TV deal
Imagine what would come out of Shaq's mouth had he not played the game? He'd be Bill Simmons...
Thank God for today
Doublechecked it w/ Melo. He said, "You know, I was in Denver for a few years." I said, yeah, but figured NBA would give that stage to Darko
Mildly interesting tidbit - Carmelo said he was in Cleveland for LeBron's 1st game in 2003. Beat him then, too, and held him to 7 points.
Best line from JR after game was that his hip hurt too much to bend over: "I gotta get Cleanthony to tie my shoes, because he's a rookie."
Watching back the tape, JR had an exceptional game after the hip injury. One of his most efficient games: 11 points, 7 assists, 2 steals.
Banner headline of today's front page of Cleveland Plain Dealer: "Everything but a Win"
Don't know if it's common knowledge, but NBA VP of Violence Rod Thorn told me he plans to retire at the end of the season...
On second thought, LeBron wishes he'd signed with the Giants...
Brutal to see Westbrook injured now, too. Sets up a big opportunity for Telfair to step up in his hometown at Brooklyn on Monday.
Fisher lauds Tim Jr. for supporting/staying involved despite playing just 4:45. "Says a lot about him and who we're trying to become."
Seeing ASilver & SSterling reminds me of 2004 all star game. Introduced 2 Adam, Shelly said, "I didn't know we had a deputy commissioner"
Redick seems to miss way too many wide-open looks for a guy who used to seem pretty automatic.
Useless Stat: LeBron had 8 turnovers in his first game back with Cavs. In his last game with CLE, he had 9 turnovers. (Game 6 vs BOS, 2010).
