Red Wings are the Spurs of the NHL. Unexpected 2-1 series lead and now the Blackhawks in Barney.
We should be in the final minutes of Game 7 right now. (Of course, with the long TV time outs those final minutes would take 45 minutes)
Lets see Coach K coach the Charlotte Bobcats. I give him two weeks before he starts complaining about Michael Jordan wearing ripped jeans
You can add R. Carlisle, Lionel Hollins, Tom Izzo & Rick Pitino to list. I think those guys can take LeBron, Durant & Rose and beat Nigeria
Love when we're told how Coach K is the best to head the Olympic team. Popovich, Doc, Phil Jackson, Thibodeau & Spoelstra don't measure up?
Also, I just used the phrase "Men In Black" as a verb. Bye again.
I just temporarily forgot how old I was. OK bye.
The Bovada line with Heat as 2-17 favorites is a bit much. Pacers can win this series if Wade goes down and Hibbert continues dominance.
Felton on growth: "Being a better point guard on the court, being a litle more vocal, taking more of an aggressive approach in that sense."
FYI: billy King hasn't spoken 2 any Candidate other than PJ re coaching vacancy. He is researching candidates, which is how their names leak
Heard positive news on Jack Ramsay, receiving treatment 4 bone cancer. Now driving himself back and forth, exercising lightly & eating some
Can't hate on (street slang) Jay-Z. If I had the money I'd buy Skylar Diggins a Mercedes as well.
J.R. Smith was also not in brought in to address the media. I have a theory but it is suitable for mature audiences only.
Amare was not brought in to address media. My guess is Knicks worried what a player they'll try to trade might say about being forgotten man
Among the players who didn't speak to the media today were J.R. Smith, Amar'e Stoudemire and Jason Kidd.
Mike Woodson and Glen Grunwald will be meeting with media tomorrow. (After which they will be hermetically sealed until October.)
Players who chose not to speak to media: Stoudemire, JR Smith, Kidd, Prigioni, Camby, White, Richardson, Barron. Sorta hoped we'd get Sheed.
Carmelo and Copeland were last Knicks to talk.
Carmelo confirms a Daily News report that he will have his left should re-examined by doctors. "It's been bothering me since (April 15th)"
Carmelo Anthony said he will have his shoulder checked and see what kind of therapy and rehab it needs.
Carmelo on whether Chris Paul re-signs with the Clippers: "Shit, I don't know. Don't start anything Frank." Oh, it's started.
Anthony said it would be "selfish'' to think of his opt-out after next season. Doesn't want to address what he may do.
NBA TV is on in the press room (Knicks-Pacers game), and Melo walks in and says, "You gotta watch that." ... It was Game 3.
Steve Novak said he was frustrated he wasn't more involved and felt he could have made a difference. But he said he "trusts" Woodson.
Novak said "it was frustrating for me'' not to play vs. Indiana. Said he's son of coach and understands but "it's not what you want.''
Tyson and Shumpert saying the Knicks need to have a more diversified offense with less standing around and watching.
Iman Shumpert keepin it real (street slang): "We know we were supposed to go farther. We didn’t. So it’s a failure."
Iman Shumpert said the Knicks "failed." They should have at least gotten to the EC Finals.
I believe Jason Kidd negotiates a buyout with Knicks. I think Marcus Camby stays and Rasheed brings his warmth and winning smile as a coach.
Chandler was talking about series of illnesses over last year or so -- flu. strep, etc. Was hard to tell what the timeline was.
Though he's going into 3rd season, Shump has never played summer league, because of lockout (in 2011) and knee surgery (2012).
Shumpert also said he plans to play in Vegas Summer League, to work on his game and get more coaching.
Shumpert reiterates his sentiment from Saturday: That Knicks failed. Said anything less than ECF was a failure.
Iman Shumpert said coaches want him to play in summer league in Las Vegas. He has never played summer league.
FYI: MSG renovation, I mean transformation, will be completed this summer. That's code for "the middle class Knicks fan has been priced out"
Chandler, like Felton, said Knicks need to stay together and grow together. Everyone needs to improve he said, "coaches, too."
Chandler also blamed his weight loss from having a strep throat late in regular season to lessening his strength. Had lost 10 pounds.
One other thing: the Pacers, Bulls and Celtics all finished behind the Knicks this season.
Chandler said he wished he was healthier down the stretch and could have played more coming into the playoffs. He said he was out of rhythm.
Tyson said he "doesn't know'' about his buddy Jason Kidd's future. Said JKidd needs time away to think.
Tyson said weight loss affected him a bit vs. Indiana. Lost some strength. Said he'd like to grow on offense to balance out perimeter game.
Guess which teams are making significant moves? Bulls get Derrick Rose back, Danny Granger returns to Pacers and Rajon Rondo rejoins Celtics
Tyson Chandler acknowleged his poor playoff performance, but doesn't feel he let the Knicks down because we gave all he had.
Chandler acknowledged his poor playoff performance. Said he never regained his rhythm following absence from illness.
Illness led to major weight loss, which Chandler said impacted him more than any lingering effects from neck injury.
Tyson Chandler said he never really got his timing back after missing so much of late season. Wished he could've come back before playoffs.
Tyson Chandler disclosed that he had strep throat just before playoffs. Caught it from his daughter.
