Where was John Paxson's outage when some Chicago radio guy said that Tom Thibodeau suffers from Aspergers? Can't recall him saying anything.
Here's a question only John Paxson can answer: if JVG publicly criticized Tom Thibodeau would Paxson be this outraged? Not bloody likely...
So John Paxson is upset with a media guy criticizing Bulls management. Yet, I don't remember him being upset when media goes after Thibodeau
So wait, Jeff Van Gundy sticks up for the head coach of the Chicago Bulls and John Paxson says JVG has an agenda against the Bulls. Really?
Thanks for the support. All good, nothing serious.Knee is ok.Feeling better. Gracias por el apoyo.Todo bien, nada serio en la rodilla.Voy mejor
The Cavaliers allowed 100.7 points per game through Jan. 16. Their last four games, all wins? 93.5.
Legitimately think my cab ride home from JFK took longer than my flight from Charlotte to NY did. Only in New York.
Cleveland has a cool trio of Jersey HS hoops represented: JR Smith and Tristan Thompson (St. Benedict's) and Kyrie Irving (St. Patrick's).
Melo says Jahlil has "a great feel for the game and a great touch... he's a load." Briefly greeted Okafor & other Duke players in hallway.
Melo on Okafor: "I like him. I like him. he's got a grat feel for the game....he's a load." Knicks
He's now Coach 1K. HIs win tally started one hour north at West Point.
Okafor has man strength when he uses it. That was a big boy power move.
Love Chris Obekpa's intensity.
St. John's playing like its players are on 10-day scholarships. Beating Duke by 10, outhustling them on every possession.
Phil Jackson sitting next to GM Steve Mills at Garden watching St. John's beating up on Duke and Okafor. 55-47 with 12 to go.
Okafor not having his best game for Phil. Maybe there's a St. John's player out there for him. http://t.co/y4ZrKKZjpk
Surprised at the replies of criticism about Okafor's game. This game so far is a mess. Obekpa has done a good job but still....
Okafor never touches the ball! Lav has the Storm making this a streetball game.
BJennings down 4 count. Epidemic of injuries continues. Players got hurt less seriously when they had summer jobs & came 2 camp out of shape
Most impressive positive about Okafor, beyond the skill set, is that he already has an NBA lower body. Strong foundation is critical.
Word on the street is Zagsblog is looking to trademark phrase he created "Lose More for Okafor'' to sell on Zag T-shirts.
Can you imagine the look on Charles Oakley's face if you told him "yes, you lost but at least you played hard." He'd appreciate it. Riiight.
We now should credit Knicks, in a loss, for playing hard? "Where have you gone Patrick Ewing...a soft fan base turns it lonely eyes to you."
I already know Thursday's headline: "Despite Having A Great Owner, Hard Working Knicks Only Lose To Thunder By 45."
In the newspaper owned by Jim Dolan - no, not The Post, Newsday - today's headline is "Win Streak Ends For Hard Working Knicks." I kid u not
Thank God for today
That play was lowkey incredible, for like 4 different reasons.
Amar'e Stoudemire said he sprained his ankle and his wrist in the game, and isn't sure he'll play Monday.
Amar'e said ankle and wrist sprain made him ineffective and felt couldn't help team in final minutes when Derek went with Cole.
Fisher said Amare ankle fine but he had no rhythm and wasn't comfortable playing him after Lou fouled out.
The Hornets' cheerleaders stay to dance and do a soul-train line dance after the team wins :)
As fans, is this kind of an ideal sort of game 4 NYK tonight? Young players get ton of time. Competitive, and positive signs. Close loss.
Cole hits the rim. Killing my sneaker sales.
Knicks and Hornets in a shootout - 71-69 Hornets at halftime. ... I'm kidding, it's 2:14 to play and it burns your eyes.
Amundson fouls out and Cole enters game, not Amar'e. Unsure if ankle bothering him or just his awfulness (0-5) is keeping him on bench
Lou Amundson fouls out. Do the Knicks have anyone on a 5-day contract to come in now?
Hardaway, Jr. has 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the first time in his career.
The Knicks have scored 2 points in nearly 9 minutes.
Old lady ushers dancing in Charlotte. That is all.
Would you guys buy a sneaker line with Cole Aldrich silhouetted air-balling a hook? For the common man with honest appraisal of skills.
Melo says it's "a blessing to represent" NY in the All Star Game. "For the fans who voted me in, I honor that. I truly appreciate that.”
Hornets lead 57-54 after three quarters with both teams shooting under 40 percent. Feel like I'm watching a game out of the 1948-49 season.
Hey, it's another Cole Aldrich sky hook airball.
Please. Quick. Deflate these basketballs.
Charlotte is now winning this game, which neither team really has any business winning.
Hornets just took their first lead of the game against the Knicks.
I'm wishing someone would deflate the balls in this game.
Jefferson looking rusty here tonight; Knicks have held him to 1-of-9 shooting. Meanwhile, NYK up 45-39 in 3Q.
Lou Amundson saving that ball from going out of bounds and flinging it to Tim Hardaway Jr. for the jumper is what Phil wants this team to be
Hornets' Marvin Williams being evaluated for a concussion; return doubtful. Bismack Biyombo right knee contusion; return questionable.
Hornets say that Marvin Williams will not return - and Bismack Biyombo is questionable - knee contusion. Not embarrassment.
Adding to the magic on this 37-36 game here with Knicks and Hornets - Marvin Williams being tested for a concussion.
And Amar'e is back in the game. Because...well, I can't think of a good reason for a guy with a bad knee and now a sprained ankle to play.
And last time I'll say it, but to call JR "selfish" and/or the problem w the triangle is weird. He led them in assists when he was traded.
Tim Hardaway Jr. doesn't play defense at all.
Knicks have done fantastic job of beating up on worst teams in the NBA the past few yrs. They go on streaks. It happens. Not bc of Shump/JR.
Charlotte started off terrible offensively and I wondered when they'd get Al Jefferson in. He's in. He's 0-for-5. Team is 6-for-31.
If you think they were part of problem, so be it. But to act as if that was a cure-all, when really NYKs just playing poor competition... OK
Knicks have barely beaten a NOLA team w/out AD/Jrue Holiday, a Sixers team with no Wroten/Noel and a poor Orlando team. Now CHA w/o Kemba.
Serious question for those of y'all who keep tweeting that NYKs winning bc they ditched JR & Shump: Why are u ignoring the obvious? (contd)
