ESPN.com draft guru @Chad Ford has the Thunder taking Pittsburgh's Steven Adams with the 12th overall pick.
According to @Marc Stein, Thunder assistant coach Mo Cheeks will interview for the Pistons' head coaching vacancy Wednesday.
Two things: 1) OKC got Ibaka & R. Jackson at 24. 2) Jeremy Lamb was the 12th pick. The pick, while disappointing, isn't as bad as you think.
Toronto went 17-16 w/ Rudy Gay in the lineup after getting him in a salary dump. One of many factors that made the pick worse than projected
Spare me this stuff about the Raptors being good this season. They've finished .500 or better twice in the 10 seasons prior to this year.
Last 10 No. 12 picks: J. Lamb, A. Burks, X. Henry, G. Henderson, J. Thompson, T. Young, H. Armstrong, Y. Korolev, R. Swift, N. Collison.
As I laid out today, when the Thunder made the deal, Toronto was coming off a 23-win season. This looked like a potential top five pick.
No doubt this 12th pick is the worst case scenario for the Thunder. But using it as part of a case against the Harden trade is just ignorant
Here is my story from today on the 12th overall pick that we now know will belong to Thunder -- bit.ly/12U7PqM
The Thunder has landed the 12th pick in this year's draft via Toronto as part of the James Harden trade with Houston.
Don't understand the lottery system? It determines only the top 3 picks. The remaining order is determined in reverse order of record.
Thanks @John Schuhmann for helping me say this another way. The pick essentially is protected 1-11. OKC ONLY gets it if it's 12-14.
Toronto can ONLY move up into the top THREE. The Raptors CANNOT move into any slot between 4 and 11.
A reminder. The pick CANNOT be 4 through 11. It can only be 1, 2, 3, or 12, 13 or 14. It's a 93.5 percent chance to be 12.
Watching the NBA Draft Lottery, OKC fans? Basically if Toronto's pick is 14, 13 or 12, it belongs to OKC. If not, it stays with Toronto.
The tornado destroyed a bowling alley in Moore, but didn't knock over the pins. Amazing. (via @ReedTimmerTVN): pbs.twimg.com/media/BK0x48LC…
The lottery is tonight and the Thunder will find out if they get that pick. Here's a quick primer about it: dailythunder.com/2013/05/a-draf…
