Rudy comes back with a strong take and gets fouled. the man is not a mental midget. One of his most endearing traits as a player

Big time rebound and finish through contact by Gobert
Wow, Andrew Wiggins
That assumes a whole bunch of things, like that neither player ever blocks a 3. But you get my point.
In Mark Eaton's 456 block year, he averaged... 5.8 blocks per 36 minutes. It's the same.
If you adjust Rudy Gobert's shot blocking to account for the # of 2 point shots in 1985 vs 2015, he would average 5.8 blocks per 36 in 1985.
Major drawback of Rubio's injury: Ddn't make his usual stop by the pressroom to flick the lights off & on, alerting reporters for tipoff.
After Saunders' comments last week, Bolerjack asked the coach if he "still feels like the announcers need to be fired, including myself?”
Flip Saunders : Rudy Gobert has to be top two most improved player in the
Among others, no Rubio or KG tonight, Flip Saunders says.
No Ricky Rubio for the Timberwolves
Quin: lots of Trey shooting percentage has to do with shot selection and he doesn't always dictate what shot he gets
Quin : Rudy Gobert is realistic with himself. He knows what he needs to work on and he improves in those areas
Not a final decision just yet, but Q doesn't think Favors will play tonight.
Quin : Derrick Favors is unlikely to play
Quin : Trey Burke has worked at it both on floor and in the film. He is trying to get better
Quin : Trey Burke is doing the little things. He is on the first bus. He is here at 4:15
One to watch tonight - Zack LaVine much better catch and shoot than off the bounce Catch and Shoot: 40.0% Off the bounce: 32.2%
Since the Kanter trade, all 25 of the Jazz's top played 3-man combinations are positive in plus-minus. Every single one!
Utah State assistant Chris Jones is staying put. Mark Pope will apparently be the new head coach at Utah Valley. Jones had interviewed.
Officials called Enes Kanter for 3 in the key and an illegal inbound on Saturday night. Were they offended by his comments as well?

Tim Duryea kills it at his press conference. Emotional. Funny. As forthcoming as possible. Utah State A.D. Scott Barnes is smiling.
Duryea will be on a red-eye flight to Miami tonight to continue recruiting.
Duryea believes a 30-second shot clock is coming to college basketball, perhaps as soon as next season: "That will quicken your pace."
Duryea: "It's a tough league but we're making the adjustments."
Duryea: "We've learned so much [the last two years] as far as being competitive in the Mountain West Conference."
Duryea: "You'll see some different things as far as scheduling."
Duryea on coaching in Logan/at Utah State for so long: "... It's a feel-good place."
Duryea: "I'm honored to be your coach. ... This is home for us and we love it here."
Duryea recalls the day Morrill hired him 14 years ago, at local restaurant: "Coach took me on the ride of my life."
During his thank-yous, Duryea nearly breaks down before mentioning retiring Utah State coach Stew Morrill.
Utah State coach Tim Duryea: "This is a neat day for me. Really a neat day for my family. Something I've dreamed about for a long time."
Barnes: One of the measuring sticks for new coach? Someone with a determination to graduate Utah State players.
Barnes: "We did a thorough national search."
Utah State athletic director Scott Barnes: "Another great day to be an Aggie."
Utah State's Tim Duryea presser begins in 10-15 minutes. Held on the court at Wayne Estes practice facility. Stew Morrill just walked in.
