HoopsHype Utah Jazz twitter
Just a fun question. I get why the Jazz did the D-Will deal, and what would their ceiling be with Millsap/Big Al?
My score sheet for Albuquerque' 11-run first inning. http://t.co/EndjXjouUo
PCL duty today: Joked 1 p.m. start would enable me to make deadline. Except Albuquerque has scored 7 runs. There is 1 out, 2 on the first.
Nice NBA apologies for mistakes the next day. In '98, Dick Bavetta had to wait until the next season to apologize to Sloan/Malone/Stockton.
Dallas for 3 days
Another great day of basketball, Happy Easter to everyone!
If Jazz were in East, Corbin would've received an extension for what he did in 2012, '13. And blame him, not management, for a rebuild year?
If the Jazz were in the East, Ty Corbin would've received a multi-year extension for what he did in 2012 and '13.
ECHL playoff duty tonight: Utah wins, 2-1. Series w/Bakersfield tied, 1-1. Condors scored 26 seconds into the game but Grizzlies rallied.
How did assembled groups react to today's earthquake in Utah? Comic Con: Where's Superman!? Atheists: It was nothing. SL marathoners: RUN!!!
Is it safe to stop hiding under my desk yet?
Former Jazz players Millsap, Korver and Carroll combined for 49 points and 23 rebounds in Atlanta's win over Indiana.
Indiana is clearly scarred from dogfight with Jazz in March. Proof: Pacers have gone 10-14, trail Hawks 1-0, since hard 94-91 win over Utah.
General rule of new NBA it is never as good or as bad as it seems. Does that count for the Pacers?
Coaches can %$#&%$! thousands of fans by resting healthy players but everybody's mad Blake Griffin threw a little water on one?
...but not 70K like Penn State.
Utes draw 12,056 for spring game. Not a bad crowd.
Playoff games all day
Cp3 vs Curry
First time valanciunas touches the ball since he came back in...
What young talent playing in the Northeast all star game today?
Last time Deron Williams looked this good was in the playoffs for Utah
I would like NBA expands to 32 with Seattle and Vancouver.
NBA, why not re-visit Vancouver. Vancouver had 6 years of teams losing about 80% of their games. No one would support that.
Don't now how Toronto will fare in the playoffs, but its game in Utah this season was the most impressive by any Eastern Conference team.
So if the Raptors beat the Nets in this series, does Prokhorov ask Putin to invade Canada?
Mayor Rob Ford, how do you feel about the Toronto Raptors being in the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2008? http://t.co/L8oKrnQS9w
New Salary cap is 63.2 in 14-15. Jazz have 27 under salary + Hayward hold at 8.6 totally + 2 draft picks (abt 5 mil) =20 + mil cap room
New luxury tax 77 mil for next year and 81 projected for 15-16. Impacts Hayward RFA. More likely to get offer, more likely to get matched
New cap # is $63 million. Thought. Miami has 8 million on books for next year. If all 3 opt and take 12 mil could take another star at 12
That story has some really good quotes from Dennis Lindsey, Ty Corbin, his agent and Frank Layden in it.
Le retour approcheeee
I'm already bored
ECHL pregame music > the NBA. Can't beat Springsteen/Dancing in the Dark?
All the best to TNT's Craig Sager, who is battling leukemia. This statement from him via Turner Sports is a classic: http://t.co/xQMPFbqILY
Also congrats to Al Jefferson who was awarded Eastern Conference Player of the Month for the 2nd straight month
Jazz president Randy Rigby on NYDN report that team has already decided to part ways with coach Tyrone Corbin: "Not accurate."
Nice way to start the offseason for Trey Burke. Named Western Conference Rookie of the Month for the second time this year.
Some more good news: Point guard Trey Burke has been named NBA's Western Conference rookie of the month for April. He's now won three times.
It's still possible Jazz will decide to part ways with Ty Corbin. But from what I'm told from multiple people, a decision hasn't been made.
Also, the Millers and Jazz management have yet to hold their final meeting to discuss Tyrone Corbin's future with the organization.
Corbin agent Steve Kauffman on report: "I'm not going to react to anything released by Mitch Lawrence based on my experience over the years"
Tyrone Corbin's agent, attorney Steve Kauffman, just told me: "As far as I know, there has been no decision made."
I've been unable to confirm report from New York Daily News' Mitch Lawrence that the Utah Jazz have decided to part ways with Tyrone Corbin.
In my mind, I'm imagining today's draft lottery tiebreaker happening with plastic colored Easter eggs at the NBA Board of Governors meeting.
There hasn't been this much excitement in Utah over one ping-pong ball since Forest Gump.
Strangely, Jazz still only have 47.7% chance of winning a top-4 pick in the draft lottery but 82.8% odds of getting a top-5 spot.
The Jazz won tiebreaker w/ Boston (random drawing) to determine order of selection for 2014 NBA Draft pending the Lottery. Utah slotted 4th.
Jazz chance of picking 1-3 is 35% of picking 4th is 10% and 5th or 6th is 51%
Biggest impact of coin toss with Boston - Jazz chance of being 6th, 7th or 8th in draft is now 17% rather than 44%.
The Jazz won the tiebreaker with Boston, giving them the fourth-best lotto chances. It's a 104-103 edge over the Celtics.
Jazz go to lottery as 4th pick - 10.35% for 1st pick; 11% for 2nd pick; 12% for 3rd - 33.5% for top 3 - 10% for 4th; 35% for 5th, 16% 6th
Now, Jazz fans, feel free to wildly celebrate Utah's season-ending 136-130 double-overtime victory over Minnesota. And apologize to Corbin.
Jazz will have the 23rd pick (from Warriors) and the 35th pick in the 2nd round. Boston gets the 34th.
Jazz actually get one more pingpong ball than the Celtics, 104-103.
The official release - Jazz win. Will pick #4 http://t.co/zvrdNCvfY7
NBA just made it official. Jazz won the 4/5 tiebreaker with Celtics. Here's the order heading into draft lottery: http://t.co/PkrRYTlNMZ
WE WIN !!!! Utah wins tiebreaker with Boston and will pick #4 going into lottery
Jazz won random drawing with Celtics and are slotted 4th heading into NBA Draft Lottery on May 20, per source. Teams split pingpong balls.
Looking for good/solid run in the #614
Doesn't basketball karma say Jazz should win coin toss today since Celtics lost to 76ers twice in last 2 weeks?
Being asked for specifics. I was told results will be released this afternoon (Eastern), which could be between 10:01 am-3 pm (Mountain).
The tiebreaker drawing between the Jazz and Celtics will happen today during the NBA's Board of Governors meeting. Result revealed later.
Derrick Favors on the Jazz's 25-57 season: "I’m mad about it because I want to be in the playoffs."
