Story of the game, besides Aldridge, is how there’s nowhere for Houston’s bad defenders to hide. Why I picked POR to win the series.
The rest of the Rockets seemed so angry that Lin drove inside the line there.
They … fouled?
Fitting end right there.
James Harden's playing like it's the NBA Finals :-/
Rockets have to do all these funky cross-matches to hide Harden. Meanwhile, Blazers are besting on the offensive glass.
James Harden might want to show up in his Anthony Davis disguise for Game 3 if he's going to keep playing like this
Rockets now have Harden guarding Robin Lopez. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Too much movement in these Blazers sets for Houston’s awful perimeter defenders to guard.
Robin Lopez baited James Harden beautifully there. He’s done the same to many other players this year.
This Blazers player’s shots have been on the LaMarcus all night.
Batum’s defense really improved this season. Great job on Harden tonight.
Momentary confusion between Robinson and Matthews caused that bucket. Blazers still struggling with their transition D.
Terrence Jones has to provide more resistance on that closeout. Dwight shouldn’t have to hedge on pick and roll and recover to LMA.
You can’t hide a bad defender on Portland. All their players can shoot and Lopez is a top-five offensive rebounder in the league.
The Rockets’ defense is an embarrassment.
Shut up Shaq
After all that, it’s a tie game. Portland is really tough.
Guessing Stotts closes small without Robin Lopez so he can play Aldridge on Dwight and stunt down.
Let’s just turn this into a Dwight/Aldridge one on one game.
Have to give LaMarcus Aldridge credit: He’s been willing to work for closer shots in both games this series. Doesn’t always do that.
Spurs now switching pick and rolls, which is a very bad sign for them.
This is amazing. Spurs can’t defend pick and roll at all, no matter how they try.
Spurs never want Duncan to come up on pick and rolls, but he might need to take an extra step to contain Dallas’ ball-handlers.
Really out-of-character shot by Kawhi Leonard there. Rare to see the Spurs lose their poise, but it’s happening now.
Belinelli doesn’t need to sink that far off Carter. Surprised Pop has played him so much.
Remember when Jose Calderon was a liability in this series?
There’s the danger of going way under Monta ball screens. Kawhi sagged six feet off and Monta accelerated to the rim.
Common foul on McRoberts for that? What?
Why’d Mario Chalmers leave Kemba there?
That’s why Manu Ginobili is great. Nothing’s working and he took over a two-minute stretch to get the Spurs back in it.
Mavs were an aggressive trapping team on pick and rolls all season. Now, they’re hanging way back on pick and rolls. It’s surprising SA.
Meanwhile, San Antonio’s conservative strategy defending pick and roll hurts against Dallas. Lets Monta et al build up a head of steam.
These are unforced Spurs turnovers. Once you get San Antonio out of its normal rhythm, they get really out of sorts.
I think the Spurs will get it together in the second half, but Dallas is doing a lot of little things to mess up their rhythm.
DeJuan Blair’s floater will never not make me laugh.
Devin Harris is killing the Spurs. Big problem if Patty Mills can’t contain him.
Another weirdly bad closeout on Monta, this time by Ginobili. No need to run him off the line.
Jeff Ayers playing in a playoff game?
Guessing Pop isn’t too thrilled about Kawhi’s angle on that Monta closeout.
Dear Monta Ellis: the Spurs are giving you the open jump shot for a reason.
I won't tell an athlete whether to play through pain, but definitely worried for Big Al.
(Teaser in the last tweet doesn’t really reflect the article, but still funny).
Do the Nats play today?
That dog coming back
Thank God for all of His blessings and for allowing us to see another day !!
Raps-Nets was great. Amir Johnson was great. But Nets have to be encouraged that it took a huge DeRozan quarter for Toronto to barely win.
Brad Beal was asked if Giordano's thin crust pizza helped him get 26: "Chicago pizza is not better than St. Louis pizza. I’ll tell you that"
Wheels down glad to be back in DC.
Wiz nation!!! Come to the game on Friday and Sunday and help us win those games!
Great win for us!!! Nene was unstoppable again!!!! I have to play better ... Glad TBook got my back!
Great TEAM win!
Hustle and Flow!!!!! http://t.co/15spMi4w4v
Heading down to D.C. Thursday for the two home games. Never imagined the Wizards could close the Bulls out in them.
To everyone: Yes, I know Ariza did great on DJ. But I think the Bulls overreacted a bit, could have gone to DJ more anyway.
Really surprised Thibs didn’t give Augustin the ball much down the stretch. Was D.J. tired? And Butler was DEFINITELY tired.
The Wizards’ two best players are 23 and 20, not 19 and 20. Close enough, Chuck.
THANK YOU BRADLEY BEAL, I'M NAMING MY ALL KIDS AFTER YOU
