There are just five games to pull from at FantasyScore Sunday, and while the available options at every position are limited on a lighter day, the forward spot is particular thin this evening. With that in mind, filling up your flex openings with guards and forwards is strongly recommended.
G Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Toronto Raptors
$9,500 salary | 19.0% of cap
On a lighter night, paying up for Westbrook is a must, considering his recent run of production. He has delivered at least 65 FantasyScore points in each of his last four games, averaging 75.9 during the stretch. Westbrook has basically been providing the point total of two quality players by himself, and tonight, he faces a Toronto team that doesn't defend point guards well.
G Mo Williams, Charlotte Hornets at Detroit Pistons
$5,000 salary | 10.0% of cap
Kemba Walker (knee) won't be back until next week, and Williams has been a super sub in his absence. He is averaging 38.8 fantasy points as the starter, and he has topped 35 in five straight.
G Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons vs. Charlotte Hornets
$5,400 salary | 10.8% of cap
Jackson is averaging 33.9 fantasy points since being traded to the Pistons, and he hasn’t scored less than 27.75 in six games with the team. He offers a safe floor and solid upside tonight against a Charlotte team allowing the sixth most points to point guards.
F Jae Crowder, Boston Celtics at Orlando Magic
$4,200 salary | 8.4% of cap
With few can't-miss options at the forward spot tonight, Crowder is a relatively low-risk sleeper to take a chance on. His price tag won't kill your cap, and he has delivered at least 28.00 FantasyScore points in six of his last eight games. A matchup with an Orlando team ranked 24th in scoring defense shouldn't hurt Crowder's value, either.
F Derrick Favors, Utah Jazz at Brooklyn Nets
$6,200 salary | 12.4% of cap
Given the lack of quality at the forward spot tonight, spending a little extra for a steady option like Favors could make a big difference. He has logged at least 32.5 fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games, and he has topped 40 in three of his last five.
C Al Jefferson, Charlotte Hornets at Detroit Pistons
$7,500 salary | 15.0% of cap
Jefferson is on a roll, topping 40 fantasy points in three of his last four games and topping 50 twice over the same stretch. Meanwhile, Detroit allows the second most points per game to centers, so another big game for "Big Al" seems likely.
Score big today playing fantasy basketball.
G Victor Oladipo, Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics
$5,300 salary | 10.6% of cap
Oladipo is coming off back-to-back big games, but he has been awful in two previous starts against Boston, averaging 7.5 points on 18.5% shooting. With plenty of quality options at the guard spot tonight, there is no reason to take a chance on Oladipo.
C Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz
$6,400, 12.8% of cap
Lopez has been an inconsistent option most of the year, and in his last four games, he has topped 30 fantasy points twice and scored less than 15 twice. He draws a tough matchup tonight with Rudy Gobert, who is allowing opponents to make just 38.0% of their close-range shot attempts.
