The Spurs have no answer for Blake Griffin

Before we examine Blake Griffin's awesomeness, a note from the other side of the court has to be addressed.

When you build your fantasy lineups tonight, make sure to keep a close eye on the status of San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker. He's dealing with a variety of nagging issues and is questionable for Game 3 with an Achilles' tendon issue.

Guard Patty Mills ($2,000 salary, 4.0% of cap) finished with 25.25 fantasy points Wednesday after Parker left early, and he should make a solid source of cap relief if Parker sits. Even if Parker suits up, he should probably be avoided. He is averaging just 5.5 points on 23.5% shooting and 3.0 assists in this series, and he was clearly playing at less than 100% prior to the tweaking his Achilles'.

F Blake Griffin, Clippers at Spurs
$7,900 salary | 15.8% of cap

It has become clear that the Spurs simply have no answer for Griffin. He followed up a 61.50-fantasy point performance in Game 1 with a triple-double and 62.00 points in Game 2. No matter how you construct your lineup, make sure Griffin is a part of it.

F Kawhi Leonard, Spurs at Clippers
$6,900 salary | 13.8% of cap

He has been a rock for San Antonio in this series, taking advantage of the Clippers' terrible defense against small forwards to deliver 36.00 FantasyScore points in Game 1 and 41.25 in Game 2. Take advantage of Leonard's steady production as he continues exploit the favorable matchup.

C DeAndre Jordan, Clippers at Spurs
$7,000 salary | 14.0% of cap

You will have to pay up a bit in order to own a decent center, and Jordan is easily the safest option on the board. He has scored at least 35.00 fantasy points in both games of this series, and he is averaging 40.53 in six total meetings with the Spurs this season. Solidify the center spot and save money elsewhere.

G Bradley Beal, Wizards vs. Raptors
$4,700 salary | 9.4% of cap

After a largely disappointing regular season derailed by injuries, Beal has been delivering in the playoffs. Following a solid all-around performance in Game 1, he caught fire for 28 points in Game 2 and is now averaging 37.00 fantasy points in the series. Stick with Beal's hot hand, especially for the price.

G Jose Barea, Mavericks vs. Rockets
$2,900 salary | 5.8% of cap

Barea has been solid off the bench for Dallas this series, topping 20.00 fantasy points in each of the first two games. With Rajon Rondo (back) not expected to play again in the series, Barea is set for an expanded role and should be one of the safest sources of substantial cap relief available.

G Kyle Lowry, Raptors at Wizards
$6,300 salary | 12.6% of cap

Lowry (shin) practiced Thursday and is expected to play in Game 3. However, he has made just five of his 20 shot attempts this series and his missed all six of his 3-point attempts. He has failed to reach 25.00 FantasyScore points in either game, and he is too risky to chance at his price tag.
