Tim Duncan moved to No. 5 in the list of top NBA shot blockers of all time in the Saturday night game vs. Philadelphia, finally leaving mentor and fellow Spurs legend David Robinson behind (2,955 to 2,954 now).
While Hakeem Olajuwon (3,830) may be out of reach at No. 1, Duncan could still surpass Mark Eaton (3,064 blocks), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (3,189) and Dikembe Mutombo (3,289).
Duncan’s teammate Tony Parker reached his 6,000th career assist in what was surely an emotional night for him after the ISIS attacks in Paris. The French star will likeky move ahead of Baron Davis, John Havlicek, Clyde Drexler, Scottie Pippen and even Jerry West by the end of the regular season to enter the all-time Top 30 in assists.
