Mavs forward Dirk Nowitzki, who might be one of the slowest players in the NBA at this point of his career, was put in a tough spot Tuesday night with this mismatch against 24-year-old Blazers guard CJ McCollum.
Let’s just say McCollum took full advantage of it.
“Oh, man, I was praying he was going to miss it,” Nowitzki said after the Dallas-Portland game.
He did not, which is not surprising considering McCollum, currently averaging a career-high 19.5 ppg, is making 45.5 percent of his threes from the corner.
