Pop star Justin Bieber threw his social media muscle behind Clippers guard Chris Paul Thursday night and got him a cool 31,000 new votes (as of this writing) for the All-Star Game. Not bad, but that would still place him way behind Russell Westbrook for No. 2 among Western Conference backcourt players.
A few hours later, the Sacramento Kings chided Bieber for endorsing Paul and not center DeMarcus Cousins.
Well done, Kings.
It’s not the first time Bieber endorses a player for the All-Star Game, by the way. The Ontario-born singer took to Twitter to support Raptors guard Kyle Lowry last year.
