The Rockets didn’t have it going offensively Friday against the Cavaliers, as proved by the fact that they shot just 35.1 percent from the field. As far as decision-making, they’ve had better nights.

Example: James Harden not passing the ball inside with center Dwight Howard matched up against point guard Matthew Dellavedova.

Harden not getting the ball to Howard much is kind of a pattern with the Houston Rockets. Per NBA.com’s advanced stats, Harden is giving Howard the ball just 4.2 times per game in 2015-16 – which is actually up from only 2.2 per contest last season.

In the last two years, Harden has passed the rock to power forward Terrence Jones and Howard a similar amount of times on average, even though the latter gets more playing time.
