Thanks to a 116-89 Game 7 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday, Toronto made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in history. It’s been a long wait for a franchise that entered the NBA in 1995 to make it that far, but there are others that have had it even worse. Of the 30 active teams, the Raptors have been the fifth slowest to reach the NBA Final Four. Clippers, Hornets and Pelicans, who combine for 86 seasons in the league, have never qualified for the Conference Finals. The Nets couldn’t duplicate their ABA success and neeeded 26 years to be among the last four squads standing in an NBA season.
Below you can see the ranking of teams based on how long it took them to reach the Conference Finals.
