Mitchell was drafted by the Nuggets, who then immediately traded him to the Jazz for the 24th pick (Tyler Lydon) and Trey Lyles. Yeah, that wasn’t a good move for Minnesota as Mitchell is already a star after leading the Jazz to the second round of the playoffs in his first year. He averaged 20.5 points and 3.7 assists in his rookie year. Runner up: Jayson Tatum, 3rd overall.
