DRAYMOND GREEN, DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

For one reason or another, Draymond Green doesn’t get much from non-Golden State Warriors fans, which is unfortunate considering how impactful he is on both ends. In particular, Green’s otherworldly defense helps make the Warriors not just a great team, but a transcendent one. Even besides his insane competitiveness, Green can defend basically every position on the floor, from guards to wings to back-down bigs, while racking up steals and blocks off the ball. Green has earned Defensive Player of the Year honors once in his career so far, two seasons ago, and it’s entirely possible he does it again in this upcoming year. He’s that tenacious of a point-stopper.
