5. John Havlicek
The legendary “Hondo” came to the Celtics from Ohio State with the seventh overall pick in the 1962 draft. Havlicek was a 13-time All-Star and his No. 17 was immediately retired by the Celtics when his career concluded in 1978. Havlicek was green all through his career, playing on with Boston. He scored 26,390 points in 1,270 games. Hustle was a huge part of his game and he brought it all the time. Havlicek was an eight-time champ and is a member of the NBA’s 50th Anniversary team.
