2. MOSES MALONE (FROM HOUSTon, 1982)
Fo’ fo’ fo’. The refrain that ties Moses Malone to Philadelphia. The great center wanted the 76ers to sweep to the NBA title in 1983. He came close as they lost once in 13 games. Malone was Finals MVP. He played five great seasons in Philly, averaging better than 20 ppg in each. He averaged double digits in rebounds and led the league three times as a 76er in that category. Malone was a three-time NBA MVP and 12-time All-Star. The definition of a force in middle. Malone had signed as a restricted free agent from Houston. The Rockets then dealt him to Philly for Caldwell Jones and a first-round pick. It was a lopsided win for the 76ers.
