Social media was at it again when Dwight Howard was traded by the Charlotte Hornets to the Brooklyn Nets in 2018. “I literally found out right before I was about to do a charity event, and also I found out on Instagram,” Howard told a sports radio show. “I found out through the comment section of one of my pictures, so I was in total shock about the whole situation.”

Howard also was correct in a prediction: “Actually what I think is going to happen is there’s going to be a buyout and I will make myself a free agent for the summer.”

He never played a minute for Brooklyn and wound up with the Washington Wizards after the buyout.
