The 1961 battle between the Philadelphia Warriors and New York Knicks was memorable. Wilt Chamberlain scored 59 points and grabbed 36 rebounds as the Warriors put five players in double figures. “The Stilt” played all 58 minutes in a 136-135 double-overtime loss. Chamberlain’s scoring total stood as a mark for 23 years. The winning Knicks were led by Richie Guerin, who scored 40 points.
