Doc Rivers on another offensive clunker for the Sixers: “That’s two games in a row where I thought (we were) lackluster. Execution is really bad right now. I’m not concerned by it. We’re gonna get through it, we’re just dropping games while we’re getting through it.” – 10:22 PM

Doc Rivers says they were trying to get Joel Embiid the ball on that final play. Says he “wanted shooting on the floor” and that’s the reason why Maxey and Milton weren’t on the floor #Sixers10:09 PM

Unsuccessful challenge by Doc Rivers. Not sure why he even bothered. That was never getting overturned. Thybulle got ball initially, but took out Tatum’s arm/shoulder on the follow-through. Very little chance that would get overturned. – 9:45 PM

Unsuccessful challenge by Doc Rivers. Tatum at the line when we return…
78-76, Boston, 4:18 left – 9:44 PM

Doc Rivers joked before the game that he’s glad the NBA hasn’t gone back to his days playing for the Knicks in the 1990s.
Well, it’s 65-64 with 11 minutes to go here in Boston, so maybe he was a little premature in that assessment. – 9:27 PM

Alvin Gentry and Tyronn Lue were both on Doc Rivers’ 2013-14 staff; both left in 2014. Gentry to Golden State, Lue to Cleveland.

One wish I have: That people would stop saying guys like John Wall or Ben Simmons need to take the floor to help their trade value.
1. Teams know who these guys are. Nothing is changing those opinions now.
2. Contract is what matters the in the case of a guy like Wall. – 12:19 PM

More on this storyline

I think Ben Simmons wanted to be traded. I feel like, he felt like how it was; people weren’t loyal to him. I do feel like he’s dealing with some stuff. I do. There were times last year that the 76ers were like making it seem like he was bothered by one thing, but they knew it was something else. I just feel like he feels betrayed. He feels like nobody really has his back, and it’s time to move on. Not only that. He also knows that the average Philadelphian wants him outta here. They don’t want him. There’s gonna be no more hostile place for Ben Simmons to play than in Philadelphia. -via SportsKeeda / November 26, 2021
