Following his blockbuster trade to Philadelphia on February 10, James Harden made his Sixers debut last night in Philly’s 133-102 blowout win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
‘The Beard’ put up 27 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists in a perfectly balanced performance, with Joel Embiid praising him after the game: “I’ve never really been this wide-open in my life, seriously, the passes, I wasn’t even expecting it and it was just coming.”
Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to James Harden’s debut with the Sixers.

It's one game, against a tailor-made opponent, but this has been about as good of a start for the Joel Embiid-James Harden era in Philadelphia as the 76ers could've possibly hoped for.

James Harden has completed 2 4 point plays tonight. It would take Ben Simmons 16 free throws just to reach those 8 points 😂

James Harden you are cordially invited to Passover dinner at my parents’ house

James Harden is on his best behavior in his Philly debut. Efficient, unselfish, only 1 turnover. Sixers appear energized by his presence. Embiid said pregame James is nothing like the stories about him. Wrong, Joel. Can't trust him when it really counts. Fool's gold tonight.

Joel Embiid and James Harden are going to be a historically great duo.

It’s so funny that every defender can probably see James Harden’s step back coming but they can’t do anything to stop it 😂

I spent YEARS begging Ben Simmons to shoot. And now James Harden just does it

The Sixers were +11 in the final 2:04 of the half without Joel Embiid.
Related: James Harden played those minutes.
