According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers have finalized a deal to land Rui Hachimura in a trade that sends Kendrick Nunn, and three future second-round picks to Washington.
As expected, NBA Twitter reacted to the news, with some tweets directed at LeGM, aka… LeBron James.
One of the reasons the Lakers traded for Russell Westbrook was the season he had in Washington. Instead of parting ways with Westbrook, the Lakers surrounded him with three of his former Wizards teammates — Rui Hachimura, Troy Brown Jr. and Thomas Bryant — off the bench.

Lakers needed to consolidate their guard rotation for more size and Nunn for Rui is a good step in that direction.
Rui has the size we want to not ask LeBron to have to crash the glass defensively.

It's hard to judge young players in losing situations with star teammates who don't elevate anyone. But there have been enough flashes over the years to remain intrigued by Rui Hachimura's potential so I look forward to seeing how he performs with the Lakers next to LeBron James. https://t.co/Y9LNP3Ym1B
