Despite all the deals going through on Thursday prior to the trade deadline, the Lakers didn’t make any moves at all.
The Lakers’ roster will remain the same, and according to Adrian Wojnarowski, they are expected to focus on the buyout market.
Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the Lakers’ roster remaining the same past the deadline:

Reporter: With the Lakers doing absolutely nothing during trade deadline & Cleveland having an amazing roster can you see yourself going back to Cleveland for a 3rd time? pic.twitter.com/q2jrB3lYPF

The incompetent Lakers front office wasted 2 years of LeBronβs extended prime. They need more BASKETBALL people in the room. I can say so much more but iβm about to go walk my dog man. βπ½

Likely outcome now is the Lakers package two future 1sts to get rid of Russ in the summer & fire Vogel

To recap: The Lakers didn't want to give up THT in a deal for Lowry, refused to pay Alex Caruso a couple million dollars more to retain him and didn't want to part ways with their 2027 pick to make the team better before the deadline.
