On Tuesday, Dec. 6, with Magic players Paolo Banchero, Caleb Houstan, Terrence Ross and Chuma Okeke along with Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw there to chaperone, 100 Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida children from three different branches were taken on a holiday shopping spree at a local Walmart. Each child received $100 Walmart gift cards courtesy of Pepsi Stronger Together prior to going shopping.  “It’s fun for everybody,” Ross said. “When they (the kids) see the Magic guys show up, it’s always a good time. They are always having fun, asking a whole bunch of questions. Any time you can do that, it’s always fun.”
Markelle Fultz sponsored his Fultzgiving turkey dinner distribution event for the Eatonville community. More than 400 Thanksgiving meals were provided to underserved families at the Denton Johnson Center. It was the third time Fultz has held this event. Fultz was joined by his mother Ebony, Magic Community Ambassador Bo Outlaw, and many other volunteers. Community partners Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, St. Lawrence, Ward Chapel, Mt. Tabor, and New Bethel joined the Magic in providing food donations and assisting with the event.
On Thanksgiving morning, as part of the Magic’s annual tradition, Jamahl Mosley, Bo Outlaw, fellow Community Ambassador Nick Anderson, and other volunteers will serve breakfast to the 400 residents at the Coalition for the Homeless and the more than 100 unsheltered homeless individuals from the community. It will mark the 30th year that the Magic have hosted the breakfast. As part of the tradition, the meal will be sponsored by Orlando’s head coach.
Clean the World, the leaders in global hygiene revolution, collects thousands of these essentials from hotels across the U.S. and then distributes them both domestically and internationally. On Thursday, July 28, the Orlando Magic assisted in the process. Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw and other Magic volunteers helped sort, package and box thousands of products. “This is great to see all the volunteers giving their time and efforts to help distribute these products to the less fortunate,” Anderson said. “I’m just happy to be a part of it and to help others get things that we take for granted.”
On Monday, the New York Knicks traded journeyman forward Travis Outlaw to the Philadelphia 76ers for little-used third-year big man Arnett Moultrie. Following the trade, the Sixers updated the roster page on their website to show a picture of their newest player. One problem: They posted the wrong guy. Rather than Travis Outlaw, they updated their roster to include a picture of Bo Outlaw, whom you may remember from the turn-of-the-century Orlando Magic. Bo Outlaw is 43 years old and retired from the NBA in 2008.
