Justise Winslow hopeful of returning this month
Justise Winslow described it as one in a million. The play that knocked the wing out for the rest of the 2019-2020 season is one he hopes was only a bit of bad luck. “That’s the thing about it,” Winslow said, referring to the moment the injury occurred during the Grizzlies’ trip to the Orlando bubble in July. “ . . . It was just kind of an awkward play and I was off balance. I got pushed off my dribble and went to plant. Next thing you know I was getting an MRI. It wasn’t the most physical play. You kind of just saw me get pushed and get thrown off balance. That’s when the injury occurred. It’s kind of a freak thing.”
