The Knicks have not fully closed the door on signing rookie Kris Wilkes for the start of training camp, according to multiple sources. While it still appears doubtful the UCLA product will be ruled healthy enough, the club has decided to summon Wilkes for another physical in the next two weeks before completely ruling him out, reconsidering an earlier stance.

Rookie swingman Kris Wilkes of UCLA won’t be headed to Knicks training camp on a two-way contract, The Post has learned. Due to health reasons, Wilkes’ verbal agreement on a two-way deal has been voided. Wilkes, a 6-foot-8 small forward who averaged 17.4 points as a UCLA sophomore sniper, missed the Las Vegas summer league with what the Knicks termed an illness.
