Khimki Moscow General Manager Pavel Astakhov said that the club is negotiating with former All-EuroLeague guard Malcolm Delaney. “We are interested in all the strong players currently available on the market. Malcolm is definitely one of them. We are interested in signing him, we are in talks. But it’s difficult to negotiate.” Astakhov answered when asked if Khimki has a possible interest to Malcolm Delaney, in an interview with Russian outlet Izvestia.

CSKA Moscow has extended a two-year offer to former All-EuroLeague guard Malcolm Delaney according to Eurohoops sources. Delaney’s priority in offseason will be to find an NBA contract. The 30-year-old American guard will thus wait until around the mid of July to see the developments in the NBA free agency before making any decision regarding his future.

Delaney added that he needed action in the Chinese league to recover his rhythm following his two NBA campaigns. In China he averaged 32 minutes per game with 19.4 points, 6.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds per contest. As a free agent, he’s considering his options for the rest of the 2018-19 season. Three European clubs have already contacted him, but a NBA return is still his priority. In any case, EuroLeague teams have a February 28th deadline on signing players for the rest of the campaign.

Guard Marshon Brooks has agreed to terms with Chinese team Guangdong where he will replace Malcolm Delaney, a source told Sportando.
Malcolm Delaney: People in American that don’t understand international basketball don’t know how tough and rare it is to accomplish what doncic did in Europe. Ain’t no 18 year old in America leading a Team to a euroleague championship. And DAMN sure ain’t getting MVP.
