Nigeria have announced a 16-man training camp roster in advance of a trio of exhibition games in Las Vegas, where D’Tigers will face the United States on Saturday, Argentina on Monday, and Australia on Tuesday. The 16-man roster features eight active NBA players, namely Precious Achiuwa (Miami Heat), Chimezie Metu (Sacramento Kings), Jordan Nwora (Milwaukee Bucks), Jahlil Okafor (Detroit Pistons), Josh Okogie (Minnesota Timberwolves), KZ Okpala (Heat), Miye Oni (Utah Jazz) and Gabe Vincent (Heat). Additionally, Michael Gbinije and Ekpe Udoh also have experience in the NBA.
The Warriors have officially signed free agents Antonius Cleveland, Michael Gbinije, Alex Hamilton and Georges Niang, the team announced Thursday morning. NBA teams can carry 20-man rosters until trimming them down to 15 the day before the start of the regular season. With the addition of Cleveland, Gbinije, Hamilton and Niang, the Warriors enter training camp on Saturday with the maximum 20 players.

The exact total is $1.312 million for the 2017-18 season, but Gbinije’s contract was only partially guaranteed for $500,000. The Pistons save more than $800,000 and will eliminate Gbinije’s $1.3 million cap hit. Gbinije, 25, was selected in the second round of the 2016 draft as a defensive specialist out of Syracuse. He played in only nine games with several injuries ruining his opportunity when he was on the verge of possible playing time. He spent considerable time with the Pistons’ Gatorade League affiliate in Grand Rapids.
