Josh Robbins: The Magic have signed guard Sindarius Thornwell to a two-way contract, the team announced. To make room for Thornwell, the team has waived Devin Cannady.
Andrew Lopez: Reminder: Sindarius Thornwell’s second 10-day contract expired over the weekend, so the Pelicans have an extra roster spot to play with before Thursday’s deadline. Thornwell could very well be back on the team Friday or so if no deals go down.
Sources told ESPN that while the majority of players on the Pelicans who were eligible received the shot, not every player did. Pelicans reserve guard Sindarius Thornwell became the first player to publicly acknowledge his intent to get the vaccine with a tweet late Friday night.
