Did your teammates like the song? Or did they clown you for it? Aaron Gordon: The NBA, these are some of the realest dudes I’ve been around. So they’re going to tell you if it’s terrible. And they liked it, man. They were expecting it to be trash but it was good. I’ll get in the studio with a couple of them eventually. Like Wes Iwundu and Markelle Fultz, we’ll all be in the studio together.
Iwundu and Isaac aren’t alone. Teammates, coaches and various members of the organization are providing relief and aid to the Central Florida community. “It just shows about the heart. We care as players and in a sense it’s not all just about basketball. We’re here to help in any way possible as we can and see fit. It just shows the mindset we carry as players, as a team and the type of guys we have.”
Also, Isaac said various Magic teammates have assisted him while he’s worked for J.U.M.P. Ministries and Project Life, Inc. to provide “grab-and-go’’ breakfasts and lunches to school-aged children in the Central Florida area over the past week. According to Isaac, Project Life delivered an average of 187 meals a day last week and served another 250—plus meals daily. Isaac said that his group delivered 200 box meals within 30-45 minutes this past Friday, signifying the tremendous need among those who are struggling to fill even the most basic of needs following the downturn of the economy because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
