Five months later, even the business partnership that he spent recent days promoting – he’s the cover athlete for the NBA 2K16 mobile app – came with the same sort of justified skepticism attached. At least that’s how he sees it. His player rating on the game was an 86, well below LeBron James’ top rating of 94 and in the neighborhood of players like the San Antonio Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard (87). Rest assured, George can’t wait for the game’s first in-season update that he’s quite sure will include an increase in his digital stock. “I’m disappointed (in the rating), obviously, but again, I was out for a whole year,” George said. “There’s not much to expect when it comes to a rating. One thing I do like about 2k is they update it during the season, so I’ve got time to get to the 90s.”
No Heat player is better known for obsessing about his NBA 2K rating than Hassan Whiteside, and he is not going to be happy about this. 2K Sports released its ratings this week and gave Whiteside an 81 (out of 100), leaving him 10th among centers. While that might sound great for a guy who was out of the league this time last year, there is no way he would agree with seeing nine centers rated ahead of him.
Curry's underhand scoop shot layup was added to his video game character's repertoire, and he participated for the first time in the game's motion capture technology after fans complained his release wasn't the same as in real life. "So I played the game, checked the release and timing," Curry said. "It looks pretty good and pretty realistic."
Brandon Jennings: Blasphemy. Kobe Bryant is #5. 2k gotta chill. The Internet just let you do whatever. Kobe led the league in scoring before he got hurt.
I’ve been on the money with my NBA 2K16 player rating predictions. I got Chris Paul being second best for point guards, and J.J. Redick and Paul Pierce being just outside the top-10 for their respective positions. Now, Blake Griffin, who 2K sports reveals to be the second best power forward in 2K16 with an 88 rating, behind top PF Anthony Davis.
Last year, the premier NBA video game, NBA 2K, gave Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard an overall rating of 87, making him the sixth-highest rated point guard in the game. This year’s yet-to-be-released edition, NBA 2K16, once again has Lillard as the sixth-rated point guard, even if his rating did drop one point to an 86 overall rating.
For the past few years, LeBron James has been the highest ranked player in the ‘NBA 2K’ series. Since winning the title in 2012, James been the King of the video game world. Any fan of the game will admit that having James on your team really gives you an advantage over any other team. James was rated a 98 and Kevin Durant was the next closest with a 95. It seems that LeBron’s time atop the basketball video game world may have come to an end. Here, we see that a leaked photo of James’ rating has dropped from a 98 to a 94.
Former MVP Kevin Durant goes from 95 last year to 91 this one. Andre Drummond sees no progress in his rating, which makes sense coming off a ho-hum season with the Pistons. Those are some takeaways from the few NBA2K ratings we know so far courtesy of @Ronnie2K. This is the updated full list with the numbers from years past included.
2K Sports has now revealed the NBA 2K16 player rating for Kobe Bryant. Some might say the rating is too low for someone as talented as him. Ronnie2K tweeted out the photo you see above. The “Black Mamba” has a player rating of 85. This is the lowest rating he has ever received in a NBA 2K game before.
Perry Jones: Damn man a 69?? Wtf I'm nice .. And where my tats at?? This me from 2011, but naw I'm just happy to be on the game .. But that update better be daily SH*T!!!!! @nba2k @ronnie2k #nba2k16. Oh yeah I forgot .. To ALL haters and doubters.. check bal

Shaquille O’Neal on Stephen Curry being the best player in the world: Yeah, by far. Hell yeah. As Kenny Smith would tell you, you can have a category, but the real ones are recognized by the championships that you have. Nobody plays better than Steph Curry. He’s a tough shot-taker, tough shot-maker. I like where he’s brought his career.
