Westchester took the former college player of the year with the No. 2 pick this year, but he was then signed by the New Orleans Pelicans and played four games for them before being waived on Nov. 19.

After being waived by the Kings earlier in the month, sources have confirmed that Ole Miss sharpshooter Marshall Henderson will in fact join the Bighorns for this season. Earlier reports had him joining the team over the weekend, but the 25-year-old guard asked and received an extension on his timeframe to make a decision.
Rookie Vince Hunter has also agreed to join the Bighorns. The 6-foot-8, 208-pound forward averaged 14.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore at UTEP, but he went unselected in the NBA Draft in June. He spent training camp with the Kings in October, playing a total of two minutes.
Sources have confirmed to CSNBayArea.com that David Stockton will not return to Reno, although a door remains slightly open. The son of NBA legend John Stockton, David averaged 20.1 points and 9.4 assists per game for Reno a season ago. His stellar play earned him multiple call-ups to the Kings, but with three point guards on a maxed out 15 man roster, his potential for another run in Sacramento is a long shot.
Stockton will explore other options internationally, but if he decides to return to the D-League, the Bighorns would welcome him back with open arms.

Petteway signed with the Pacers on Sunday, went through practice on Monday and then was waived. By doing so, the Mad Ants, who are owned by the Pacers, have first right to sign him. That’s what so many training camp deals are for anymore — getting guys within their system and to their D-League affiliate.
If no NBA team signs Brown before he clears waivers, he will look to play overseas instead of playing in the D-League, according to a league source familiar with his thinking.

Now, the Knicks are already on the phones. League sources said the most-common players they have discussed with other teams are, in no particular order: Immanuel Quickley, Evan Fournier, Rose and Reddish. They fielded calls on Fournier leading into last winter’s trade deadline and then again over the summer. He has two seasons, including this one, remaining on his contract and hasn’t touched the court in three weeks. But it’s not like they’re desperate to send him out of town.
The Knicks have not shown any interest in attaching draft picks to Fournier just to move him, league sources said. Still, that doesn’t mean a Fournier trade is impossible. They have expressed to other teams that they would consider dealing him for a less desirable contract if it meant bringing back an asset. The Knicks owe Fournier $18 million this season and $18.9 million next season. There is a team option for 2024-25, the final season of his contract, for $19 million.
They also have communicated that they are willing to attach Quickley or Reddish to Fournier to make a trade work, league sources said. The Knicks have discussed with other teams various types of Quickley-related deals. In discussions where the 23-year-old is the standalone piece going out, New York has targeted a future first-round pick, league sources said. The team is overflowing with guys who could justify playing time. Moving on from one of the guards could free up space.
As Eurohoops reported, he already received an offer from a EuroLeague team, and Sportski Zurnal revealed that Crvena Zvezda made contact with the Argentinian player. As Eurohoops can confirm, the offer that the former Real Madrid player has on the table came from the Serbian champions, and so far is the only one available at the moment. However, it’s more than enough for the player who will get 1,8M euros net until the end of the season, plus Zvezda will cover a big percentage of the 2,6M euros the player still owes to Real Madrid from the total 6M euros NBA buyout he had to pay in order to leave for the States.
“It’s difficult to follow in the footsteps of someone who is arguably the greatest at anything,” Cleveland coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “You know as a player — even you see that, you know that — you feel that when you’re walking around the community and you see everybody in the jerseys and those types of things. It’s not easy, and the only way to do it is, in a team setting, get to where that person has gotten and accomplish those things.” Cleveland is now 11-1 at home and in third place in the East. The Cavs own the second-best defense in the NBA. Mitchell is the league’s seventh-ranked scorer at 25.8 points per game. Allen and Garland are under contract for years to come, and both coming off All-Star campaigns. Evan Mobley could wind up as their best player.
