Blake Griffin’s eager but realistic as he gets set to return to action Sunday for the first time since missing 45 games with quad and hand injuries. It’s the former injury that started his absence and extended it, as he tried to figure out the right way to go about his rehab once he started missing games in late December. “It just wasn’t being allowed to heal,” Griffin said. “The tear is still there. It’s just about managing the pain and getting through this.”

Marc Stein: Tamika Tremaglio of @DeloitteUS has now been officially selected as @TheNBPA ‘s new executive director to succeed Michele Roberts, according to a leading television network. Roberts told @VinceGoodwill in July she was leaving the post within six months after her eight-year run.
Marc Stein: The union makes it official and announces Tamika L. Tremaglio, “trusted advisor and consultant” to @TheNBPA since 2012, as its next Executive Director. Tremaglio will succeed Michele Roberts “upon her retirement at the end of the year.”
