Two-time NBA champion Beno Udrih announced his retirement from basketball at 39 years of age. Even though Udrih played his last game three years ago with Zalgiris Kaunas and has been working as player development coach on the New Orleans Pelicans since 2020, he hadn’t officially put an end to his career until today (27/11) via a post on Instagram.
Beno Udrih: “Basketball has been a part of my life professionally since I was 16 years old, and is something I hope I never have to give up. I now want to be a coach just as badly as I wanted to be a professional player back when I was a kid. I hope to share my knowledge and guide the next generation, just as many coaches did for me.”
Justin Grasso: Danny Green will continue to come off the bench tonight, per Doc Rivers. Green’s still on a minutes restriction but his minutes will slightly increase #Sixers
Tim Bontemps: The Celtics say Dennis Schroder is out with an ankle sprain and Robert Williams is out with a non-COVID illness for tomorrow’s game in Toronto. Jaylen Brown is once again questionable. Raptors said earlier OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. are questionable for the game.
Ben Anderson: Per the @Utah Jazz. Udoka Azubuike was examined by Utah Jazz and University of Utah medical personnel last night in Salt Lake City. Initial imaging determined that Azubuike suffered a subluxation in his right ankle. X-rays revealed no fractures.
Andrew Greif: An “operations malfunction” at Ontario’s Toyota Arena is forcing the Clippers’ G League affiliate to relocate its games Nov. 28 and Nov. 29 to Staples Center, the Clippers say. Sunday and Monday’s games are both scheduled for 11:30 a.m. No fans are permitted at either.
