Shumpert was filling in at backup point guard for the Cavs, with the rookie Kay Felder already ruled out for the Knicks game after being placed in the concussion protocol himself; Felder took an errant Chris Andersen elbow to the head in practice last week. The Cavs have the day off Wednesday and head coach Tyronn Lue said Shumpert’s availability for Friday’s road game against the Toronto Raptors was unknown. “Right now we don’t know the status on Shump,” Lue said. “Still going to go through the testing or whatever. I know he got hit in the head, and I think he ran into Porzingis’ hip or something. He’s going to get tested and just see where he’s at. Not quite sure what the results are going to be.”
