Boca Júniors signed Carlos Delfino to a deal for the season. The Argentinean returns to his homeland and already had his first practice with Boca.
As reported by Julito Pavoni, former NBA player Carlos Delfino is very close to sign a deal for the rest of the season with Boca Juniors in his home country. Delfino is expected to arrive in Buenos Aires in the next few days to take the medicals and signing the contract.
Fortitudo Bologna is still hopeful to sign Carlos Delfino. The Argentinean returned to action at the Olympic with his National Team. “The market is always open and something may happen soon. Carlos Delfino? I still have hope to sign him” the president of the club, Gianluca Muratori, told TRC Bologna.
Argentine guard Carlos Delfino told newspaper Ole this week he has not given up on the NBA yet. “From a personal standpoint, for sure I want return with an NBA team,” Delfino said. “Is it a long shot? Very long shot, but I believe in it and have been working towards that goal for a long time. And I’m still doing it. If I have to get minutes somewhere else while waiting for that NBA option, so be it. We’ll see.”
NBA journeyman Carlos Delfino, who hasn’t played in the league since breaking his foot in the 2013 Playoffs, is still hoping to make a comeback. “I still feel like an NBA player,” Delfino said recently to Argentinian basketball publication Basquet Plus, as translated by NBA Reddit user sebs24. “I want to come back to do interesting stuff. That’s my objective.”

Things can change fast, but league sources don’t sense that a deal is anywhere close right now. The Sixers still hope Simmons will return to the team so they can experiment with his role, or increase his value and help create more trade possibilities. On media day, Morey compared the Simmons situation to that of Aaron Rodgers, who threatened to leave the Green Bay Packers but ended up returning for one more season. The Sixers hope Simmons will choose to do the same.
