If mock drafts are on target, the most marquee prospect at Zions Bank Basketball Center was Baylor forward Johnathan Motley, who many project will be taken in the early to mid-second round. Motley was joined by Gonzaga point guard Nigel Williams-Goss, Houston wing Damyean Dotson, North Carolina forward Isaiah Hicks, La Salle guard Jordan Price and Southeast Missouri State wing Antonius Cleveland. “It was great,” Motley said of how he felt the workout went. “Played with a lot of energy, played good defensively and shot the ball well during the workout. I think I did pretty good.”
Marc J. Spears: Sixers announce that heralded draft prospect Markelle Fultz will be working out for them at 6 pm tonight and plans to speak to media after.
Bubbling, flammable speculation that the Philadelphia 76ers will trade for Boston’s No. 1 overall pick and use it on Markelle Fultz was scheduled to spill out of control this afternoon as the former Washington star arrives for a workout. Sixers big man Joel Embiid just lit a match and tossed it on the intrigue by posing with Dario Saric next to a customized Fultz locker.

Darren Wolfson: Former FSU big Michael Ojo was also part of today's #Twolves workout, I'm told. It was him, and local guys Marshall, Hooker, and Lumpkin.
Fultz has widely been considered the best prospect in the draft for some time now, but Givony reports that the team's thought process changed because Fultz "murdered" his workout and that it might have been "the best one" the team saw throughout the pre-draft process.

Sean Cunningham: Source: Kansas star Josh Jackson will hold private workout in Sacramento with the Sixers today. Will meet with Celtics in Boston days later
Ball will work out for the Lakers a second time on Friday at an undisclosed location in Los Angles county. He is hopeful the Lakers will give him some indication whether he's "separated himself" throughout the draft process. Ball continues to have no plans to speak with or workout for the Boston Celtics, who hold the No. 1 pick. After Friday's workout he will consider talking to other lottery teams who have asked to speak with him, according to the source.
While Lonzo Ball has worked out only for the Los Angeles Lakers, the former UCLA Bruins star is considering talking to teams who have lottery picks below the Lakers, a source close to Ball told ESPN.

The Kentucky guard has worked out for four teams: the Knicks, Sixers, Suns, and Magic. Phoenix has the No. 4 pick and Orlando No. 6. “I think I fit great everywhere I worked out at,” Monk said. “That’s why I picked the workouts.”
Q: On if he could see himself being a Laker: Fultz: For sure. I could see myself playing here. It’s a great city, a great team. A lot history behind this team. Q: On playing alongside a young core: Fultz: I thought about both. Being a young team, would pretty much feel like college again. But either/or. Coming to a young team or an old team, I’m just blessed to play the game.
Q: On why he came to workout for the Lakers given that most mock drafts have him going No. 1: Fultz: I think it was a family decision, just going through it. Giving everybody the opportunity. Never know where I might land, so just wanted to see how it is out here. Q: On if he has other workouts planned: Fultz: Not that I’m sure of. Still have to talk to my family after this one just like I did after the last workout and see what we’re going to do.
The ultimate goal, however, is to earn a spot on an NBA roster. For some prospects, like Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell, it's starting to set in that that childhood dream will soon become a reality. On Wednesday, Mitchell, a probable first-round pick, received an invitation to attend the 2017 NBA Draft and sit in the green room at the Barclays Center on June 22. "I kind of went off the wall yesterday just screaming and yelling in my pillow," Mitchell said after Thursday's pre-draft workout for the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. "I'm excited, but I've still got a few workouts to go."

Ian Begley: The Knicks are among the teams who are expected to attend Dennis Smith Jr.'s private workout on Thursday, league sources confirm. Smith Jr. met with the Knicks earlier this month and was scheduled to work out but did not. It is unclear why he didn't work out for the Knicks while in New York. The Knicks will be among several teams to watch Smith Jr. at his workout, as first reported by Basketball Insiders. The Knicks have the eighth pick in the draft. Some members of the Sixers organization are fans of Smith Jr., per league sources. Philadelphia owns the No. 3 pick and would presumably trade back to acquire Smith Jr. Boston and Smith Jr.'s camp have also been discussing getting together for a meeting or workout before the draft next Thursday, per sources.

To his credit, Jeremy Senglin, the Wildcats’ all-time leading scorer and the Big Sky Conference’s most prolific 3-point shooter in history, made the most of his opportunity to audition for the team he’s cheered on for years. “He looked good,” Jazz vice president of player personnel Walt Perrin said. “He shot it pretty well like we knew he did. He competed really hard, played pretty good defense. I thought he had a pretty good workout.”
That’s Senglin’s attitude, too. He’s determined to persevere and push his way into an opportunity to play at the highest level as Lillard, Bolomboy, Eddie Gill and Harold Arceneaux have been able to do from Utah’s oft-overlooked NBA pipeline. “If I don’t hear my name on draft night, that’s not the end of the road. You still have summer camp, mini-camps, a lot of other things as well,” Senglin said. “Everybody wants to hear their name called, but it’s not the breaking point or the end if you don’t. I’m ready for it. I’m never going to get anything handed to me, so I’m ready to just fight for everything.”

Michael Scotto: Charlotte Hornets will also be in attendance for Dennis Smith's Pro Day on June 15, source told Basketball Insiders.
Although the Suns likely won’t target Zach Collins with their No. 4 pick, the big man would be an option if they decide to trade down in the June 22 draft. Most experts have Collins going off the board somewhere between 10 and 15.
In addition to Collins, the Suns recently worked out Duke small forward Jayson Tatum and met with Florida State forward Jonathan Isaac. Both players are candidates for their No. 4 slot.
North Carolina’s championship-winning junior swingman Justin Jackson had participated in six NBA workouts prior to Tuesday’s visit to the Knicks’ Tarrytown compound. This one — off the bat — felt different. “It was more teaching than all the other ones,’’ Jackson told The Post in a phone interview. “With the triangle and the other types of offenses they run, I would say it was a little more mental than physical.”
Justin Jackson: “Phil [Jackson] stepped in a few times to say what he wanted to see, but it was mostly coach [Jeff] Hornacek running the workout.’’
Duke’s Luke Kennard, a sweet-shooting two-guard who has supposedly shot up some draft boards, will work out for the Heat in Miami on Wednesday, according to league sources.
Mark Medina: Lakers are finalizing details in bringing Lonzo Ball in for a second workout. It appears likely Markelle Fultz will have one, too.
Mike Trudell: Josh Jackson said there wasn’t much of a difference between this workout and his last one, other than he was in a bit better shape.
Mike Trudell: Jackson thinks it could be “really special” playing with Ingram. Noted how GSW+CLE didn’t play centers in “winning time.” Versatility a key.
Michael Scotto: Dennis Smith has a Pro Day June 15th. Timberwolves, Mavericks and Pistons among those scheduled to attend, sources told Basketball Insiders.
Former Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox will work out for the 76ers this weekend, tentatively set for Saturday, a source said Tuesday. Fox is one of the players the Sixers are considering to select with the third overall pick in the June 22 draft. He worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers, who will pick second, on Tuesday.
Michael Scotto: Hawks will bring in Jawun Evans, Mathias Lessort, Kennedy Meeks and others for a group workout on June 15, sources told Basketball Insiders.
Derek Bodner: Malik Monk will be working out for the #sixers at their training facility on Thursday, according to a league source.
Keith Pompey: Sources confirm that #Kentucky G Malik Monk will work out for #Sixers Thursday. @Derek Bodner first reported the news.
Ian Begley: Nevada's Cameron Oliver has workouts scheduled this week with the Nets (Wednesday) and Knicks (Thursday), per league sources. Oliver, widely projected as a second-round pick, has an intriguing game and frame. He is 6-8 with a 7-1 wingspan and a near 40-inch vertical -- and he's flashed an ability to knock down perimeter shots at the college level. Oliver averaged 16 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game last season at Nevada and has worked out for several teams ahead of the draft. The Knicks own two second-round picks (44 and 58) and the Nets own the 57th pick in the second round and the 22nd and 27th picks in the first round.

The six players scheduled to participate in workouts are Dylan Ennis (Oregon), Jawun Evans (Oklahoma State), Amile Jefferson (Duke), Zach LeDay (Virginia Tech), Paul Watson, Jr. (Fresno State), and Nigel Williams-Goss (Gonzaga).

Michael Scotto: Sources: Brooklyn Nets will bring in Terrance Ferguson as part of a group workout on June 18. He's a 6-7 SG with athleticism & 3-point range
Sean Cunningham: Kansas point guard Frank Mason III will get second workout with the Kings in Sacramento on Wednesday.
A few sources tell me that Ball has not had great pre-Draft workouts. Now, to be fair, his game is not conducive to one on none workouts; that is, doing drills and things by himself out on the floor. Ball isn’t going to wow you with incredible athletic feats. Where he shines is with other players, when he can get them the ball in rhythm and on their hands with pinpoint passes. It’s ultimately hard to see Magic Johnson passing on such an L.A.-centric player like Ball.
Serena Winters: Not confirmed yet, but hearing De'Aaron Fox may have his workout with the Lakers tomorrow.
Spencer Percy: Jaron Blossomgame works out for #Hornets tomorrow. Fringe 1st rd. pick last season, but withdrew his name to return for Sr. year at Clemson.
Many qualities have made the Lakers impressed with Ball, including his leadership potential, passing and scoring. They are not impressed, however, with his level of conditioning. Some observers of Ball’s workout last Wednesday thought he came in out of shape. Ball acknowledged that the “drills get you tired, so you got to stay focused.”

Jared Weiss: The NBA has fined the Heat $25,000 for bench players standing on the court. NBA: “Several players stood for an extended period in Miami’s team bench area, stood away from the team bench, and were on, encroaching upon or entering the playing court during live game action.”
Brady Hawk: Erik Spoelstra on what stuck out from the film of Jimmy Butler’s 47 last night: “He was just extremely efficient and fundamental. I think that’s one of the most underrated parts of his game.”
