Tim Bontemps: The Knicks lose 121-100 to the Mavericks, getting outscored 69-41 in the second half to lose for the sixth time in eight games, and to fall to just 4-7 at Madison Square Garden this season. Things won’t get easier tomorrow, when Donovan Mitchell makes his debut here as a Cav.
Brad Townsend: Doncic played 29 minutes today. Only the second time this season he’s played fewer than 30. He played 29:58 in the 41-point win over Memphis. Helpful considering Mavs have H/R B2B vs. Suns/at Denver on Monday/Tuesday.
Andrew Greif: Sacramento’s Mike Brown smiled wide discussing his friendship with Ty Lue. He laughed saying he beat Lue in a shooting game when he was a Spurs assistant and Lue was a player and that Lue still owes him some money for the loss.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Ty Lue said Kawhi and PG felt good after yesterday’s practice and are getting closer to returning. He says both will travel with the team on the upcoming four-game trip that starts in Charlotte on Monday.
