I will probably be on limited minutes.” Morris said he still doesn’t know the source of the pain, which began shortly after he arrived at training camp upon being found not guilty in his assault trial in Arizona. He said it was almost pain-free when he sustained a bruise that forced him out of the lineup.

Boston Celtics forward Marcus Morris is expected to miss at least the first week of the regular season due to right knee soreness, according to head coach Brad Stevens. Stevens said Morris has been dealing with the issue since arriving to training camp. He is expected to undergo reevaluation sometime within the next 10-14 days.
With Morris out, Stevens hinted the Celtics will likely start rookie Jayson Tatum against the Cleveland Cavaliers. There could be bench minutes available in Boston's frontcourt.
