Washington Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. received platelet-rich plasma injections in his right knee Friday in Los Angeles, according to several people close to the situation. Oubre, a second-year player who played through pain during the Wizards’ playoff run, is not expected to undergo further injections and will sit out the next few weeks to rest his knee. Although Oubre could resume basketball activities later this month but will not play with the Wizards’ Summer League team in July.

Washington Wizards small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. plans to undergo PRP injections to his right knee, league sources tell ESPN. Oubre, 21, is expected to be able to return to basketball activities in approximately two weeks, sources say.
The second-year forward has been bothered by the knee injury since the opening-round series against the Atlanta Hawks. He had an MRI last week and, according to league sources, no structural damage was revealed.
Jason Smith and Kelly Oubre missed Monday's practice session with the Wizards because of sore knees, but their availability for Game 2 vs. the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday doesn't appear to be in question.
Just as the Wizards seemed to hit their stride and get back Markieff Morris from a foot injury that kept him out a game, they won't have Kelly Oubre for Sunday's contest with the L.A. Clippers because he's in concussion protocol. Oubre, a 6-7 forward who has been a valuable defender coming off the bench or when coach Scott Brooks uses small-ball lineups, is listed out by the team. The Wizards have won four of five games and might not have Jason Smith (right hamstring) after he removed himself from Friday's win over the Detroit Pistons.

The Heat, I’m told, are likewise strong favorites to re-sign restricted free agent sharpshooter Duncan Robinson with or without the addition of DeRozan and are believed to be attempting to make all of these moves without surrendering Tyler Herro via trade. Longtime Heat executive Andy Elisburg, regarded as one of the league’s foremost salary-cap savants, will only add to his legend if Miami can get all that done.
