Duvalier Johnson: In pregame, Malone says heās unsure when Gary Harris is coming back as heās not even walking normal yet. #Nuggets
Thankfully, the Basketball Gods were kind to Harris and the Nuggets. A source within the Nuggets organization has told Mile High Sports that Harrisā MRI only showed a small sprain or strain in a small ligament in his knee.
Pair that with Harrisā X-ray results coming back negative and it seems as if the Nuggets and Harris both dodged quite the bullet. Two separate sources told Mile High Sports the exact same thing; āitās the best news we could have hoped forā.
Harrison Wind: Gary Harris isnāt sure what his injury is, says knee is a little sore. Not sure if heāll play Saturday in Memphis. MRI tomorrow will determine his status. He limped out of the locker room under his own power.
Harrison Wind: [Gary Harris will] go for an MRI tomorrow. Paul Millsap said the Nuggetsā locker room is āvery concerned.ā
Harrison Wind: Nuggets coach Michael Malone says Gary Harris (ankle) will play tonight. Hurt it last game vs Spurs.
Harrison Wind: Nuggets will try to keep Gary Harrisā minutes in the low 30ās tonight vs Mavs. Heās still bothered by a right foot injury. Malone says he went over his minutes limit vs Knicks.
Gina Mizell: #Nuggets coach Michael Malone said Gary Harrisā foot injury happened in Fridayās loss at Phoenix and that he aggravated it while chasing CJ McCollum around during Mondayās win over Portland. Status for tonight vs. Knicks still TBD.
Harrison Wind: Gary Harris (right elbow contusion) set to return to Nuggets' lineup tonight in Portland (8 p.m. MST) barring a setback in pregame warmups. Harris missed Denver's loss on Wednesday vs. Minnesota @BSNDenver
Gina Mizell: Gary Harris (elbow contusion) said he was able to go through parts of shootaround and itāll be determined after pregame warm-ups if heās able to go against Minnesota. Said neck is still sore after nasty fall in OKC but that heās NOT going through concussion protocol. #Nuggets
Harrison Wind: Nuggets listing Gary Harris (right shoulder soreness) as questionable for Friday vs NOLA. Denver and head coach Michael Malone expect Harris to play.
Denver Nuggets starting shooting guard Gary Harris said following Wednesdayās practice that he wants to play Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, after missing the past two games with right shoulder soreness. āItās just getting back playing with contact and getting comfortable with everything,ā Harris said.
Gina Mizell: Gary Harris (shoulder) is out tonight against Orlando. Will Barton will start in his place. #Nuggets
Harrison Wind: Juancho Hernangomez (mono) has been upgraded to questionable for tonightās game vs Magic. Gary Harris (right shoulder soreness) is also questionable.
Nuggets guard Gary Harris was in a walking boot Friday, in these early days of a right foot injury that he suffered last Saturday against Detroit. And heāll be out for a while, as some details get clearer about his expected time away from the team. Harrisā timeline is at least four weeks out, not up to four weeks, according to league sources. And he wonāt need surgery, so itās a situation where heāll receive daily treatment in order to get well.
Chris Dempsey: Gary Harris (foot) could be out up to 4 weeks, #Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. Big big blow.
The issue is getting both players through a full practice with no setbacks. To this point, both Harris and Arthur have gone through most of a couple of recent practices but not all of them. Until they do, Nuggets coach Michael Malone said heāll be hesitant at best about putting them in the game. Malone on Harris: āItās good to see him on the court (Friday). And as is always the case, how does he feel the next day. Heās just not there yet. So heās still out.ā
āI wanted to play today, I wanted to,ā he said. āSo weāll just see. I want to get back out there as soon as possible, especially after practicing Tuesday. I felt pretty good. Weāll see how it goes. I trust (the training staff), theyāre going to make sure Iām right. I want to come back, be 100 percent and be good to go.ā Meanwhile, Arthur has experienced a couple of small setbacks in his recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery. He experienced some swelling in the knee after Mondayās practice and had a treatment day on Tuesday. āI think Iām day-by-day right now,ā Arthur said.
Optimistic estimates on his return by Nuggets coach Michael Malone put Harrisā return right around the start of the regular season on Oct. 26. Harris wouldnāt rule it out, but wasnāt confirming that as a target date, either. āIām just going day by day, just trying to get better each day,ā Harris said. āThatās two weeks down the road: Weāll see. Iām just trying to get better each day.ā
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said Gary Harrisā right groin strain may keep him out āa couple of weeksā but is expecting to have the shooting guard for the season opener. Harris met with team doctors on Wednesday to nail down the best course of action for recovery.
Adrian Wojnarowski: Denver Nuggets guard Gary Harris is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks with a partially torn groin muscle, league sources tell @The Vertical.
Harrison Wind: From Nuggets practice: Malone does not anticipate Gary Harris back for a "at least a couple of weeks." MRI confirmed a right groin strain.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Restricted free agent guard Saben Lee is returning to the Detroit Pistons on a three-year deal, source tells ESPN.
The state Department of Health Services reported that 491 people with confirmed or probable cases said they had attended the Deer District or Bucks game “during their exposure or infectious periods” but the department could not say definitively that they caught the virus while viewing the game downtown or elsewhere. The department also said the figure was likely an undercount. “We anticipated an increase in positive cases due to the delta variant but 155% increase in one week is distressing,”Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson said.
