Jahlil Okafor: My summer of transformation: First off I want to thank @idanwan & @dzandertraining for getting after it with me the moment my season ended. Grateful to have two of the best in their respective fields work with me all summer. Although the physical changes in this photo are evident, their has been extreme growth unbenounced to the eye. I’ve learned how to identify and manage different stressors such as anxiety. Learning how to identify certain stressors has also allowed me to over come them. Often times because of my size and profession people may view me in a certain way, but in reality I deal with the same struggles as countless others. Mental health awareness is a cause I will fight for the rest of my life and if you’re struggling today don’t be afraid to speak with someone and seek help. I would like to thank @kevinlove and the @playerstribune for helping me identify my feelings and informing me what I was dealing with was in fact normal. 6 weeks left in the off season; with a lot more work to do!

His transition to the NBA was certainly made easier by having Serbian legends Vlade Divac and Peja Stojakovic in the Kings managing board but he is looking forward to having Nemanja Bjelica on the court with him next season: “I already had two guys to speak to in Serbian over there which helped me a lot. Now, I have another one on the court which is going to help me even more.”
After Kevin Love revealed he’d suffered a panic attack in a game against the Atlanta Hawks in a powerful essay for The Players Tribune, his then-teammate LeBron James quickly tweeted his support. […] Love told Carson Daly on The TODAY Show: “It was a special moment for me because we [he and James] sat towards the end of the bus. He kind of said ‘hey, do you have a moment’ he stopped me … shook my hand, looked me in my eye and said ‘You helped a lot of people today. It’s important.’ That was super powerful for me because not only is he the best athlete in the world, the best basketball player in the world but his influence and having my back with that was super important to me.”
