Teams play better at home as do role players, and Boston has lost four times on the road in the playoffs, including three times in the first round of a seven-game series against Milwaukee. While it may not look like it right now, this series can easily be 2-2 a week from now. “I’m going to go home (Tuesday night) and see my three kids, see my family, recalibrate, see my mom. I think I’ll be fine,” said James who is down 2-0 in an East series for the first time since 2008. “I’m not going to lose sleep over it. You go out and when you lay everything on the line, at the end of the day, you can live with that. I’ll recalibrate as far as how I can help this team continue to be successful (and) I can do some things to make us be even more complete.”

Jahlil Okafor: My summer of transformation: First off I want to thank @idanwan & @dzandertraining for getting after it with me the moment my season ended. Grateful to have two of the best in their respective fields work with me all summer. Although the physical changes in this photo are evident, their has been extreme growth unbenounced to the eye. I’ve learned how to identify and manage different stressors such as anxiety. Learning how to identify certain stressors has also allowed me to over come them. Often times because of my size and profession people may view me in a certain way, but in reality I deal with the same struggles as countless others. Mental health awareness is a cause I will fight for the rest of my life and if you’re struggling today don’t be afraid to speak with someone and seek help. I would like to thank @kevinlove and the @playerstribune for helping me identify my feelings and informing me what I was dealing with was in fact normal. 6 weeks left in the off season; with a lot more work to do!

He joined the Sacramento Kings and had a fairly good individual rookie season but admits that he isn’t used to his team not being in the top: “It was a pretty good season and I can’t regret any moment of it but it wasn’t as successful teamwise as I’m used to. I think we are on the right path and have a bright future”, Bogdanovic told Eurohoops during the Basketball Without Borders camp.
His transition to the NBA was certainly made easier by having Serbian legends Vlade Divac and Peja Stojakovic in the Kings managing board but he is looking forward to having Nemanja Bjelica on the court with him next season: “I already had two guys to speak to in Serbian over there which helped me a lot. Now, I have another one on the court which is going to help me even more.”
Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks spoke with Chris Forsberg of the ESPN and picked Phoenix Suns center, Deandre Ayton, as the number one favourite to win the Rookie of the Year award. “I would say [Phoenix center Deandre] Ayton. He was the No. 1 pick. He’s tall, he’s strong, he can do so many things,” the 2018 EuroLeague MVP stated.
After Kevin Love revealed he’d suffered a panic attack in a game against the Atlanta Hawks in a powerful essay for The Players Tribune, his then-teammate LeBron James quickly tweeted his support. […] Love told Carson Daly on The TODAY Show: “It was a special moment for me because we [he and James] sat towards the end of the bus. He kind of said ‘hey, do you have a moment’ he stopped me … shook my hand, looked me in my eye and said ‘You helped a lot of people today. It’s important.’ That was super powerful for me because not only is he the best athlete in the world, the best basketball player in the world but his influence and having my back with that was super important to me.”
