Huerter’s next stop will be a workout with the Nets on Tuesday. He worked out with the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics before the combine and is hoping to make a West Coast trip after passing through Brooklyn. He is expected to work out for the Utah Jazz on May 28, according to a person with knowledge of the situation, and then fly home to Clifton Park, N.Y., to make a decision with his family.
Adam Mares: The Nuggets just issued their first announcement for upcoming workouts. Monday: Tyler Davis Cody Martin William McDowell-White Isaiah Reese Admiral Schofield Reid Travis
After meeting with the Knicks on Friday, Trae Young said he can fit with the team's glut of guards – which includes last year's eighth overall pick, Frank Ntilikina. "I think they all bring something different. We all have something different," Young said. "I feel my overall skillset, my ability to make players around me better and my ability to help my team win is unique. The guys that are there are good point guards."
Carsen Edwards, a shooting guard who averaged 18.5 points and shot 40.6 percent from 3, has generated at least enough interest to get workouts with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics. He has upcoming sessions scheduled with the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks.
Jason Quick: Miami shooting guard Lonnie Walker interviewed with Blazers' psychologist, but he will not workout in Portland according to agent Happy Walters because at No. 24 the Blazers are selecting too low for Walker's expected draft position.
Jason Quick: Possible target for Blazers: Duke 6-foot-6 wing Gary Trent Jr., who said he interviewed with team at combine and has workout scheduled in Portland in June. Trent's father, of course, played with Blazers from 1995-1998.
Quinton Rose said he has had workouts with two NBA teams, with more planned for next week. Because he hasn’t signed with an agent, Rose may return to Temple if he withdraws from the draft by 11:59 p.m. on May 30.
Former Virginia guard Devon Hall is generating buzz ahead of the NBA Draft. On Saturday, the Virginia Beach native had his fourth workout. This time with the Utah Jazz. “This is my fourth one,” said Hall to reporters assembled in Utah following the workout. “I was in Brooklyn, Detroit, Minnesota, and now I'm here. It’s been straight through trips. It’s been good though. These experiences are great and the opportunities, of course, is great.”
Bryan Fonseca: I'm told that #Nets group workout from last week included: 6'3 G Barry Brown: Kansas State 6'9 F Nuni Omot: Baylor 6'8 F Sagaba Konate: West Virginia 6'5 G E.C. Matthews: Rhode Island 6'7 F Jordan Caroline: Nevada 7'0 C Dusan Ristic: Arizona
Zach Brasiler: Former Seton Hall star Desi Rodriguez has worked out for the Nets and Celtics so far. More to come. #shbb
Elijah Bryant's path to a professional career — preferably the NBA, of course — included an opportunity to work out for the Utah Jazz on Saturday morning along with Virginia guard Devon Hall, South Carolina wing Brian Bowen, Villanova guard Donte DiVincenzo, Kentucky big Wenyen Gabriel and San Diego State big Jalen McDaniels.
This was the second pre-draft tryout session for Bryant, an All-WCC first-team talent who also worked out for the Milwaukee Bucks this past week. He's got another audition lined up with the Boston Celtics and is hopeful that more chances will come his way before the June 21 draft.
“I feel I did great, I got some great feedback,” Shamorie Ponds said after landing back home in New York following the Cavs workout on Saturday. The Cavs workout also included Auburn’s Mustapha Heron (who also had the Nets on Friday), Villanova’s Omari Spellman and USC’s De’Anthony Melton.

Darren Wolfson: North Carolina's Theo Pinson was another draft prospect to workout for the #Twolves this week. They are certainly doing a ton of homework on wings and will continue to do so in Chicago at the Combine next week.
Barry Jackson: Atlanta Hawks announce they're working out UM's Dewan Huell (among others) on Friday. UM remains hopeful - but certainly not certain - that Huell will withdraw from draft and return to school.
The Nets have started to hold pre-draft workouts for a number of prospects. Mustapha Heron, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound Auburn wing who is 80th on NBADraft.net’s big board, worked out Thursday. Heron averaged a team-high 16.4 points and 5.3 rebounds to lead the Tigers to their first SEC crown since 1999. The 20-year-old is from Meriden, Conn.
Abudushalamu Abudurexiti – pronounced Ah-BOO-Doo-Shah-LAH-Moo Ah-BOO-Doo-Rex-EE-Tee – has a chance to be the only NBA prospect from China drafted in June. Abudurexiti, a forward who turns 22 this month, worked out for eight teams in 14 days, including the Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz, league sources told The Athletic.
Darren Wolfson: Cincinnati's Gary Clark, one of the best draft-eligible defenders, is among prospects working out for the #Twolves Friday, I hear. Reminder: Adel, Hall, Bluiett, and Okogie are among a group working out today here. #AllEyesNorth
Jake Winderman: Jalen Hudson was at Brooklyn Nets practice facility per his Instagram. Another workout could be coming up tomorrow or the next day. #Gators @InsideTheGators

Ian Begley: University of Texas teammates Eric Davis Jr. and Kerwin Roach II participated in a pre-draft work out for the Knicks on Monday, per league sources. Rhode Island’s E.C. Matthews also participated in the group workout, sources say.
On Monday, Jalen McDaniels had his last final exam of the spring semester at San Diego State. On Tuesday, the real test began. McDaniels participated in a group workout for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers, one of nearly a dozen he has scheduled this month — a month that likely will determine his, and the SDSU basketball team’s, immediate future.
McDaniels reportedly held an individual workout with the Cleveland Cavaliers before Game 3 of their playoff series against Toronto. Now that he has finished the semester, he is free to participate in as many group sessions with NBA teams as he wants. The Clippers were Tuesday. The Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz are up next.
Tyus Battle worked out for the Los Angeles Clippers this week and could also work out for other NBA teams before leaving for Chicago next week.
Luke Maye completed his second NBA work out this week, and he hopes teams can see what he brings to the table. The UNC forward worked out with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, after working out with the Oklahoma Thunder last week. Maye said both workouts had their strengths and weaknesses, though he did not elaborate on what those were.
Here in STL for the #Mizzou Coaches Caravan, Cuonzo Martin said Jontay Porter worked out for the San Antonio Spurs today, Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow.
Zach Braziller: St. John's guard Shamorie Ponds has workouts set up with the Celtics (today and tomorrow), Nets (May 10-11), Cavaliers (May 11-12), and Pistons (May 24), per his father. Nothing has changed in terms of decision. Gong through evaluation process. #sjubb
Tania Ganguli: The Lakers will have a pre-draft workout tomorrow with Arizona's Allonzo Trier, Nevada's Cody Martin, Texas A&M's DJ Hogg, Iowa State's Lindell Wigginton, SMU's Shake Milton and USC's Chimezie Metu
Brendan F. Quinn: A source tells me Michigan State sophomore Nick Ward has conducted individual workouts for the New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder, so far. He'll work out for the Detroit Pistons this weekend and has been requested for workouts by at least 8 other teams.
Michael Cunningham: Hawks add Goodwin (Fla Gulf Coast) and Harper (Auburn) to Mon draft workouts. Also scheduled: T. Davis (Ole Miss), T. Davis (TAMU), Okogie (GaTech), Maye (UNC),
Gelo, though, won’t be laying low the rest of the spring. Instead, he will attend the Pro Basketball Combine at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., May 22-23. Per the unnamed source, LiAngelo also plans to work out for NBA teams individually during his pre-draft process.
St. John's guard Shamorie Ponds has workouts set up with the Celtics (today and tomorrow), Nets (May 10-11), Cavaliers (May 11-12), and Pistons (May 24), per his father. Nothing has changed in terms of decision. Gong through evaluation process. #sjubb
That’s an issue for any team hoping to draft Doncic, though. His commitment to Real Madrid will keep him busy through the NBA Draft. He won’t be able to work out on an individual basis, even for a team that has the top overall pick. “I don’t think that will be an issue,” Bill Duffy, Doncic’s agent, told Sporting News on Tuesday. “Playing in the Euroleague speaks for itself. What he has been able to do, it speaks to both the talent and preparedness for Luka. He has had a different level of experience than most of his peers. Euroleague is the next step to playing in the NBA.”
As one general manager told Sporting News, “With the video we have these days, I know what I need to know from looking at (Doncic) against other top players. Anyone who wants to pick him is going to want to talk to him, but the workout is not something that is going to keep you from picking him. I am not sure I need reels and reels more tape here.”
The real fun begins later this week for Happ, who has workouts scheduled with two NBA teams. He’ll visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.
Oklahoma point guard Trae Young is expected to work out for the Knicks once NBA Draft workouts begin, his father told SNY.tv. "Of course," Rayford Young said from Los Angeles, where Trae is working out, adding that it's "too early" to set any dates.
“A top-15 draft pick told me the other day, because we were involved in this conversation about Phil Jackson and the Knicks, and he said, ‘Phil Jackson was falling in and out of sleep during my workout.'” You know Williams just dropped an outrageous nugget when even Bob Ley, who has seen just about every sports story possible as host of ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” since 1990, exclaims, “What?!?!”
Jayson Tatum worked out for the 76ers, after all. Tatum, the Duke forward projected to go in the top six picks during Thursday night's NBA Draft, said during Wednesday's media availability in New York that a private session for the Sixers was his first workout.
Taylor: What are some things you’re hearing from teams during workouts? Jaron Blossomgame: I’m very aware of my game and who I am as a player and my role. Everything that I know I need to work on is really consistent with what teams are telling me. I think the two areas I really want to improve on is just continuing to work on my ball handling and continuing to shoot at a high level. My shooting was a little inconsistent last season. I shot 45 percent from three my junior year and 25 percent my senior year. Just finding a balance. I’m somewhere in between that but I’m trying to find out where it is. Just staying in the gym, getting up shots and continuing to work on my ball handling is the two things I really want to get better at.

Dave McMenamin: Josh Jackson did not work out for the Celtics on Tues, multiple sources tell ESPN. Two days before the draft, BOS still hasn't seen him
While the Celtics awaited league approval of their reported swap for the No. 3 pick, the franchise privately worked out a new prospect for the first time: Jayson Tatum, according to a source. A league source told ESPN that Tatum -- a 6-foot-8 forward who averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in his lone season at Duke -- worked out for the Celtics at their practice facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.

While the Celtics await league approval of their reported swap for the No. 3 pick, the franchise evaluated a new prospect for the first time: Jayson Tatum, according to a source.
Ian Begley: Louisville's Donovan Mitchell will not meet with the Knicks on Monday, as has been reported. He is working out for the Dallas Mavericks on Monday in front of Donnie Nelson and his staff and is scheduled to work out for the Knicks on Tuesday and meet with Phil Jackson and his staff, according to sources familiar with the Knicks' workout schedule. Mitchell has drawn strong interest from the Knicks and his workout could be the last one for the club before it makes its final decisions on the eighth pick. Also under consideration are French guard Frank Ntilikina, North Carolina State's Dennis Smith Jr. and Kentucky guard Malik Monk, among others. Mitchell, who prefers to work out in a group setting to show teams his defensive skill set, will workout in a group setting along with Villanova's Josh Hart – a potential second-round pick for NYK – and others, per sources.
Michael Eaves: Received some surprising info on Markelle Fultz and the #Celtics today. Some within the organization were not impressed with his workout. The most glaring critique was that he was not as explosive as they expected/hoped. Afterwards, team felt as if he was NOT the best prospect.

Nets want to bring their team back, hoping Kevin Durant agrees to return

Windhorst: So from what I can gather, it appears he and the Nets are looking forward to meeting up in training camp. Whether Kevin Durant is there and his level of buy-in, that’s the big question. But right now, I think the Nets want to run this team back and they’re hoping Kevin Durant agrees. The way they’re conducting trade talks and the prices they are asking has teams out there thinking they don’t really want to trade Kevin Durant anyway. They want to bring this team back. We’ll see if Kevin Durant goes along with that in training camp.
On the heels of his second appearance in friendly action Wednesday, Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play against Georgia Thursday. In the latter stages of the training camp, Greece will conclude the 31st International Tournament Acropolis Aegean facing Turkey Friday. After being rested today, the Greek Freak is expected to be part of the final test before official games take over the schedule next week.

After being traded by the Portland Trail Blazers to the Clippers last February, Powell proceeded to play three games before sustaining a left foot fracture. His recovery took weeks, which only allowed him to suit up in the team’s last four games including the Play-In tournament. The veteran admitted that it was a tough experience of not being able to have an on-court familiarization with his team in the previous campaign. “It’s kind of a tough hill to climb on, only playing for three games and then coming back for the playoffs, it’s tough,” Powell said, via David Yapkowitz of 213 Hoops. “I really didn’t get a full chance to show what I bring to the table, just a little bit of a spark there.”
Former Boston Celtics player Enes Kanter Freedom explained why the NBA is “really mad” as its hypocritical business ties to communist China are exposed Wednesday on “The Ingraham Angle.” KANTER FREEDOM: Everything the NBA does is either for money or a publicity stunt. It’s been like that for years, so I’m not really surprised. They could care less about the players, about the coaching staff and the fans as long as the league image is profitable.
Enes Kanter Freedom: And finally, they are really mad because someone finally from the inside who played 11 years in this league — [is] going out there and exposing them one by one. And that is unacceptable… What is unacceptable is how they can bow down to the biggest dictatorship out there in the world. So that hurt my heart. I was like, “You know what? Enough is enough. Someone has to call out this hypocrisy.” And I did it.
