There seems to be some miscommunication between the Big Baller Brand’s camp and the defending world champs regarding LiAngelo Ball. Despite what the 19-year-old Ball told HoopsHype’s Alex Kennedy, the Warriors deny they’ve scheduled a private, pre-draft workout with the younger brother of Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball. In refuting what the younger Ball said, a Warriors spokesman said Thursday the team has no specific plans to meet with LiAngelo, who quit UCLA’s team in his freshman season after being arrested for shoplifting in China on a team trip this past season. LiAngelo told HoopsHype he’s already arranged private meetings with the Warriors, Clippers and Lakers before the NBA Draft on June 21.

Michael Jordan 1998 jersey expected to reach up to $5M at auction

A jersey worn by basketball star Michael Jordan during one of the most famous seasons in his NBA career is expected to reach up to $5 million at auction. Jordan wore the Chicago Bulls jersey in Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals, and it will be one of only two of his jerseys worn in a finals game to ever appear at auction, according to Sotheby’s.
An estimate of $3 million-$5 million is the highest ever for a Jordan jersey, or any piece of Jordan memorabilia, the auction house said. The 1997-1998 season is known as “The Last Dance,” and was the subject of a 2020 ESPN/Netflix documentary series by the same name.
