The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed forward Shawn Dawson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Shawn Dawson is likely to get in invite from the Wizards for training camp, league sources tell CSNmidatlantic.com. It seems likely that he'd accept unless he receives a better offer elsewhere. Given his potential, that could happen, too. “I just want to get there,” Dawson, 22, who is from Israel and has played there in the Premier League, said of playing in the NBA. “That’s been my dream my whole life. If I can get there now I would love that. I might not get playing minutes the first year, first two years, first three years. That’s how I started my career as a pro in Israel also. I just got to build myself up. I’m just going to keep working.”

The Game 7 home loss to the Hawks occurred on June 20, with the combine running from June 21-27.
