Warrick, 36, hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2012-13 season, but he’s attempting a comeback in the G League with the Wolves, for whom he’s played 18 games this season. He started for Iowa in a 113-106 victory over the Westchester Knicks on Wednesday at the league’s Winter Showcase at Mandalay Bay Convention Center and is averaging 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds. “It seemed like the best way to get back. I’ve been contemplating getting back the last couple years, just never did it,” Warrick said of playing in the G League. “This year I put my name in the pool. It’s been a lot better than I expected it to be.”
