Nets, Jazz and Nuggets interested in PJ Tucker?

Following Harden’s trade to the Nets, The Athletic reported on several teams inquiring about Tucker’s availability. As the trade deadline approaches, that interest is still alive and well around the league from contenders. Sources say teams such as Brooklyn, Utah and Denver all have sniffed around, and there certainly will be other contenders looking to improve heading into the second half of the season (both Los Angeles teams come to mind). Tucker is still a player who can help a winning team, likely more valuable to organizations with deep playoff runs in mind than a team like Houston that is transitioning.

What this means is that there are no longer questions about whether Seth Curry’s shooting is sustainable. His sample of more than 1,000 career attempts is too big to lie. This is who he is. “You can find shooters, but doing it in the NBA on a huge volume of threes is a massive risk reduction,” said Sixers president Daryl Morey. “Now we have this huge sample that he’s very likely going to do that going forward. Now he’s, like, mega-valuable.”
The Athletic understands that Houston wants to keep Wood out until after the break. The Rockets have erred on the side of caution with their free-agent splash, knowing Wood has had previous right ankle issues. They want to avoid a situation similar to what Warriors guard Stephen Curry endured early in his career, repeatedly injuring the same ankle to a point where it required surgery. Sources say Wood is in good spirits and moving in the right direction, walking without a limp and has been able to participate in some defensive sliding drills.
